Chapter 97

Eva's Pov

Ever since Rose had escaped I have been on edge and afraid. I don't like it but what can I do. I started seeing a therapist and my anxiety is flaring up again. I just can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen.

I heard from my accountant with regards to the store. People are loving it. I'm probably going to get investors and open up outside of America but that's a dream for later right now I want to franchise around America.

An investor had wanted to meet with me over lunch. That meeting went well but I also got a call from another investor who wanted to invest now both investors had given me a choice between them since they couldn't work together. When I got home I left Rafael a voice message when I heard someone behind me.

"Do tell I mean we were pretty close at some point." The voice says and I turn around to see Rose. I was right

"I gotta say I'm a little disappointed I was hoping Rafael was here since he was the one who got me thrown in jail. But it's fine. You'll do" she said and I stayed frozen.

"Luisa did like you , sometimes I got jealous but then I saw it you're like her sister. I wouldn't hurt you. Unless you left me no other option." She said

"What do you want from me?" I ask her but my voice coming out in a whisper

"I'm glad you asked. I need Luisa to meet me at Jane's father's premiere party. And you're going to help me get her there." Rose says

"How could I do that?" I ask

"Very good question Eva. I was thinking you call her up and say something like: 'Ditch the security guards in Belize, hop on the Pan Atlantic 7859 to Miami, and meet us at the party, or Rose will kill someone you love, and if you tell anyone Rose is holding me hostage, Rose will kill someone else you love.' Yeah that will work." She says

"Please don't do this." I say

"Pick up the phone and call." She raises her voice. I call Luisa and get her voicemail I leave the message and tears start filling my eyes. Rose takes the phone out of my hands

"Let's hope she calls back. It would be a shame to have someone die over an unreturned phone call." She says and goes towards the picture of Clara and Mateo. "God they've gotten so big." She says and the tears finally fall down my cheeks

Just then my phone rang it was my accountant I had to decide between investors. Rose took over the phone and told them she was my attorney and I picked the second one since he was a bigger name.

After some time the phone rang and I picked up the phone doing my best to hide the fact that I've been crying in my voice he said Petra was going to let us move back in there. I look towards Rose to se her telling me to speed it up and cut the phone. I tell him we should talk about it later and we should meet at the party instead of meet at the apartment.  I had to give him and excuse and I hung up before I started crying again.

Luisa had called and Rose had picked up the call and we got to the party. Rose had worn a costume as an intergalactic creature and made me wear one as well. When we got to the party I could see Chris with Jane and Rafael talking to Petra. I sent some signal yo Rafael with my hand hoping he would  notice. I could feel him staring at me.

We got to the roof and I took the alien mask off.

"If Luisa doesn't show up, you're going to have plenty of room on your side of the wedding isle. I think I'll take your brother out first." She starts but I cut her off

"Shut the hell up. Rose Just shut the hell up! You know what? I'm not scared of you anymore I'm just fucking sick of you. I tell my daughter monster's aren't real. But they are I'm looking at one. You'll never win." I say

"So wait. We are gonna do the speech now?" She asks

"because you know what I'll tell her? Good triumphs evil. It's in every saying ever."

"You're right sweetheart. I am evil and I'm about to..." she gets cut off by Rafael tackling her. We try to run but Rose pulls out a gun and Rafael pushes me behind him. Luisa had shown up before she could shoot anyone

"Ours is the greatest love story ever told." Rose says

"It might be but it ends now." Luisa says and pushes Rose off her and pulls out a pill

"What is that?" Rose asks Luisa stuttering a bit

"Cyanide. My family will never be safe until I'm gone." Luisa said as she started to take the pill. Rose jumped on her to get her to not take the pill. But she took it and Rose screamed and pulled her in for a kiss.

"Wait, was that a... Tic Tac?" Rose asked

"Wintergreen." Luisa said and pushed Rose down the hatch. She landed on a spike that impaled her. I don't care if I sound like a terrible person but god I hope she's dead.

The next day it was everywhere Sin Rostro is dead. I got a phone call and the second investor had agreed it wasn't to late and we would have the resources to open stores across America.

Rafael and I met Luisa later that day since it was now safe for her to stay here since Rose is gone. We invited Luisa to our wedding. She was beyond happy. And she offered up a lot of spots for a honeymoon. I didn't think we would go on a honeymoon since Raf was so busy with the Marbella. He told me he quit last night. His dream changed. It was family. We are going t9 buy a little house down the line. It doesn't feel smaller.

Jane had gotten her book auctioned for 500,000 dollars. She did it. I'm so proud of her.
