Eva's Pov
Jane decided to move in Chris. Mateo and Lia were extremely happy about it. Petra however was not. She was also stressed because of Milos' trial.
Jane had invited us to play Lotería with her family. Rafael opted to be the caller since he didn't understand the game. I had gotten the first two but I didn't have the last one. A ring. When I looked up from the board I saw Rafael on one knee with a ring out.
"Evs, will you marry me?" He asked straight away
"Yes." I say and kissed him.
"Really just 'will you marry me.'" Xo says
"Well we actually got engaged two months ago." Rafael says
What?" Everyone screams
"We just thought it wasn't the best time to tell you since Michael came back then you guys broke up." I say and they get it. Lia,Clara and Mateo came out of the next room hearing all the noise. Lia and Clara were both really happy. Mateo was neutral about it still because of Jane and Chris.
Mateo had been neutral as to not get his expectations up but Jane and Chris told him it was okay and they weren't going to break up.
We ended up telling Petra but since she scares me and Rafael so much we didn't tell her we previously gotten engaged two months ago.
Rafael and I had ended up getting in a fight about Petra being on my side or his.
"I knew her first." He says
"I know her better." I say
"I was married to her." He says
"A long time ago." I say
"Did you know she has a fear of drive-through car washes?" He asks
"Did you know that she and I are on the same cycle?" I ask him knowing he doesn't know that and Petra and I fist bump.
"I did not. Did you know that she refuses to see a movie if she knows an animal die?" He asks
"But I don't mind if people die." Petra interrupts
"Did you know that she knows every single word to Justin Bieber's 'love yourself'?"I ask him
"Okay that's enough secret spilling." Petra says before we can say anything
"Please, I don't have anyone else. You have your brother and Lia. And I'm sure Jane would be more than happy to be on your side. I used to have Luisa but not anymore. I know what it's like to feel abandoned. And through it all, you and Petra have been a constant in my life for worse or for better, you for better. I really want her by my side for this." He says
"Okay fine." I say
"It's settled I'm Rafael's best man." Petra says as she hugs Rafael
"And Mateo can be the ring bearer and Clara can be the flower girl and we can find something for the twins to do." I say
We are really going to get married.
