Chapter 50

Eva's Pov

The next week Rafael walked into Petra's office and she immediately got up. I was there because she had someone to rent out Raf's penthouse

"When I said I wanted you out of the hotel, it wasn't theoretical. No I have someone lined up to rent out your penthouse." She said and Rafael just looked at her.

"What? It was a majority shareholder decision. Meaning my decision that Eva had to follow." She shrugged

"Why are you doing this? I don't understand." Rafael asks her

"Here's what I don't understand. How you were married to me, said you loved me, then slept with my sister and worked alongside her for months without realising it wasn't me." Petra said. Wait. He slept with her?

"I'm sorry. It's all I can say. But we have children together." He says

"Yes and that's unfortunate." She says. Unfortunate. She inseminated herself with his sperm.

"We'll have the nannies cooperate. End of next week I want you out." She says. When we leave I call my brother and ask if Raf could use his spare room and he agreed.

The other night Rafael and I walked down to the lounge when we see Jane talking to someone and we walk upto them.

"Hi there." We say as Jane turns around.

"Oh, hey, Rafael, Eva, this is my cousin Catalina." Jane says as she introduces us to the woman

"Ah, this is Catalina." Rafael says

"And you must be the baby daddy and the friend who is going to have a baby." She says as she shakes our hands. I noticed a spark between Catalina and Rafael. Soon enough he offers for us to join them for a drink fully forgetting I cannot drink.

I just sit at the table drinking mineral water and eating a serving of fries which I got the craving for. As soon as I'm done I head back upstairs not wanting to interrupt the flirting. A few hours later I could hear Rafael and he was still talking to someone who sounded like Catalina. Good for him I guess.

I walk into Rafael's office and I can see his computer screen and he is on Catalina's page. Suddenly Petra walks in behind me.

"So I need your help." She says tearing him away from the screen.

"Excuse me?" He asks

"Scott is suing me. For sexual harassment of all things." She says.

"What?" I ask as I try to keep a straight face.

"Yes and... I want it over. Can I tell my legal team you'll back me up? In exchange you can... remain in the penthouse." She says

"Well in exchange I want my shares back." He argues and Petra thinks it over

"Paying him off will be cheaper." She says and walks off as Jane walks in. I walk off completely forgetting why I went in there in the first place.

Third persons Pov

Eva and Louis are sitting outside a taco truck right outside the Marbella as Eva was craving taco's. They were just talking about the future and the baby along with baby names, not noticing the person watching them with a clenched jaw. Why did she choose to have a baby with him? What does he have? He looks like a bird lives in his hair. Why am I not happy for them? Why can I not like him? Rafael wondered. When he looked back at her face she looked happy. She hadn't looked like that I'm a long time. So he turned around and walked away.

Back at the Marbella Rafael was drinking to get his mind off of Jane and Eva and Catalina when Rogelio sat next to him.

"Skinny Bloody Mary. Extra celery please." The older man ordered

"Can I ask you a question?" Rafael says to Rogelio and he nods. "Do you think it weird that I want to date someone close to Jane." He says

"Well,it depends. How much do you like her?" Rogelio told him

"Well, a lot actually. I mean I felt a spark. Which is rare." He said

"So rare. People spend a lot of time searching for that, and if that spark turns into a forest fire of love for someone... someone you could envision spending the rest of your life with..." Rogelio tunes out remembering Rafael was here.

"But you are very late. Eva is having a baby with someone el—" Rogelio was cut off by Rafael.

"Eva?" He asks

"You were talking about her know? It's obvious you both feel sparks everyone can see it. Anyway I should go." Rogelio says and pays and walks away.

Eva. His sister, His ex-girlfriend's father, his sister's ex lover, his father, his stepmother, Jane all told him they thought he felt something for her. He's been denying it for a while but the truth is he does. Then he remembers how happy she was today. He's too late.
