Chapter 74

Eva's Pov

We keep kissing in the car as it grew more passionate I unbuckle my seat belt and so does he. I recline the seat and he gets on top of me. He then suddenly pulls away

"We can't have sex for the first time in a car." He says

"Yes we can." I say

"Not after you were so judgy about our kiss. I need my full range of motion. It's going to be the best you've ever had" He says before kissing me again.

Jane was still dating my brother so Mateo was still pretty excited and they are going strong.

The next day I was working on more designs when I got a text from Rafael

'What are you doing right now' he asked

'I'm in bed' I text teasing up him a bit

'Tell me more' he texts

'Working on designs' I say

'Buzzkill what are you wearing' he asks

'What I always wear to bed' I text looking down at the huge T-shirt I sleep in

'Come outside' he texts and I go outside to see Rafael there with a pack of beer in his hand and a bouquet of flowers in his other hand.

We talk about a lot things while drinking the beer. We are sitting back against my couch. I don't know when I fell asleep but the next thing I felt was someone picking me up bridal style and putting me on my bed. They kiss my cheek before leaving.

The next night Alba had called me over to her place. She told me she talked to her church crush Ronaldo about their grandchildren and he said that since Jane was not single I would be perfect for his grandson Chris. She set me a date with her crush's grandson. As much as I tried to get out of it she couldn't cancel unless she was cancelling her date which meant so much to her so I sneaked a look at Rafael before agreeing to go.

The next night I had gotten ready for that date which was at the Marbella. Apparently he went to Harvard medical and was close to his family. I could see the look on Rafael's face when Alba mentioned the part about his family.

"So Chris. Your grandfather tells me you went to Harvard Medical School." Alba says

"You have to stop stop leading with that, Abuelo." Chris says

"Why I'm very proud." His grandfather says

"I didn't know Rafael was working tonight." Alba says making me turn around Rafael and I make eye contact.

"I didn't think he was. So what should we order?" I say and take my phone under the table.

'You weren't on the schedule tonight? Are you spying on my fake date.' I text him

'Yes. Can you blame me? You looked so beautiful when you were leaving ' He texts back

'Thanks' I text him back

'And you look insanely sexy. If it were up to me I'd be sitting next to you. And you'd be wearing less. I'd put my hand on your thigh. Then I'd move it up higher until I got to your' He texts and I put my phone on silent and put it down not reading what he would text next.

"I'll have the salmon" I tell the waiter

"I thought they'd Sen me to jail." He said

"For stealing communion wine?" I ask

"I was 12. I had stolen the blood of Christ. I was just hoping they wouldn't crucify me." He says and we look towards Alba and Ronaldo. Chris asks me to come closer to him

"It looks like they're hitting it off, huh?" He whispers

"That's why you're here too right?" I ask him not noticing the look the bartender was giving us

"Totally." He says

'Wow he sounds like a great guy!' Rafael texts me. I just roll my eyes and put down the phone

After some time we hear a loud clinking sound from behind me. I look back and it's Rafael making a drink. I excuse myself to go to the restroom. I walk into the kitchen

"What are you doing?" I ask him

"You stopped returning my texts." He says

"Are you jealous?" I ask with a slight smirk

"He was whispering in your ear." He says

"About how Alba and Ronaldo were having a good time. Which is why he was here. Where is this coming from?" I ask him

"It's coming from the fact that I'll never be Chris." He says

"A catholic doctor?" I ask

"Uncomplicated. Light." He says

"I don't want you to be Chris. I want us to be able to communicate." I say

"I want that too." He says

"So we're good?" I ask him as I take his hand

"Yeah." He says as leans in

Before we could kiss Alba walks in

"What's going on here? You're being rude." She says

"You're right I am." I say and I go outside to finish the date.

The next day Rafael, Jane, Alba and I are watching Rogelio on the talk and River Fields had gotten bitten by a dog.

The next night I got sick of it. I went to Rafael's ranting about why we should have sex and get it over with. As it turns out the cable guy was there and I asked to take a shower. Halfway through the shower Rafael had joined me telling me the cable guy was gone. That shower lasted longer than I expected.
