Eva's Pov

Jane is now a published freaking author. Mateo is not allowed to read the book until he's twenty five. I'm happy for her but Anezka can not be allowed to own anything.

She's offering guests a discount if they pay in cash so she and Magda can pocket it. They act like they're running a bathroom poker game, not a hotel. Petra is also irritated and Rafael does not want to involved with the hotel which annoys Petra.

I'm glad Rafael is letting go of the hotel

"My sister's shares have reverted back to a lunatic who's running the hotel I built into the ground, and I can't even go inside to see my children. Remind me why I need to let go." He asks me

"Because lying and sneaking around got you thrown in jail in the past and run over by a car in the present, so we need to protect the future. Give you a fresh start not just for you for your children, who need you as a role model." I say

"Wow. Guilt plus scare tactics. Well done." He says as he leans to high five me

"Thank you." I say and high five him "and not to add on but seeing* as you're stepping back until Louisa is declared mentally competent— which could take months why not put out some job feelers?" I suggest

"What?" He asks

"Just to take off the financial pressures until everything is sorted out. Plus it'll give you something to do." I said

"Yeah. Why not? Maybe I can consult somebody like a boutique hotel. That could be kind of cool." He says

"That sounds great." I say

"I'm not being stingy because I refuse to let you skim cash off the bookings." Petra says

"Okay let's take a vote. Who is for cash discounts?" She asks and Anezka raises her hand.

"Well we are against it." Petra said pointing to me and Magda scoffs. Petra goes on to explain how we had to drive customers towards the hotel.

"That's it,huh?" I say

"Yeah, my head hunter said the same thing. I got to figure out a way to beef it up a bit." Rafael says

"It's not quantity it's quality." I say

"Plus, he says they'll run a background check, and my criminal record does not help." He says

"You just gotta keep pounding the pavement. You'll find something." I say

"I hope so." He says

Rafael ended up joining LinkedIn. Which was a horrible idea.

"LinkedIn? Are you serious?" Petra asks

"I didn't know. I'm sorry. Where are the girls?" He asked

"On their way with their nanny. And you should be working here." Petra tells him and goes on to tell him the nightmare working with her mother and Anezka was.

"You think I don't want to be near my kids? You think it's easy for me to watch your mother and sister run our hotel in the ground?" He asks her

"Then let's come up with a plan." She says

"Our last plan left me with three broken ribs. I am done scheming. I'm looking for a short term job." He says and I got an idea

"What if the Marbella hires you. As our general manager." I say

"We do need one." Petra says

"You'll see the girls, you'll be able to help out with the hotel." I say

"Magda would never go for it." He says

"Let us at least try." We say

Magda disagreed so we brought up the money. As we were walking out I saw something under the couch. It looked like an inhaler. Louisa mentioned that Carl used an inhaler. No what am I saying.

Rafael got hired but as a bartender. It is hilarious.

Petra, Krishna and I are pretty great actors we got Anezka to try to turn her back on Magda. Let's hope Anezka takes the bait.

Rafael had to work during Jane's book party and she wasn't the happiest about it, but she understood. I stopped by the bar on my out

"Can I get a Rum and Coke please." I ask and he looks up

"Wow you look great." He tells me

"You too. Cute outfit." I tell him

"So what are you doing here? Isn't Jane's party starting seven minutes ago." He said as he slid my drink. I took a sip and immediately put it down

"Ugh, rum and Cherry coke?" I ask

"Oh, I'm still figuring out the soda gun." He says and I laugh

"I just wanted to say I'm pretty bummed you can't be there tonight." I say

"Really?" He asks and I nod. "I'll quit." He offers

"You're not quitting. But just wanted you to know even Jane was pretty bummed. And I wanted you to see the acknowledgments. My take on things." I say as I hand him the book. He reads it.

To sum it up it calls him a wonderful person without whom everything would've fallen apart. He was the reason for this book and my whole life. I could see he was about to cry.

"Are you going to cry." I ask

"No, it's sweat, bartender's don't cry, now go I don't want Jane to be more bummed out." He says and I leave.

When I got back Petra had called me I got upto the suite. Anezka had committed suicide
