The dinner was awkward to say the least, Madeline noticed that Malfoy was not making any eye contact with her, he stared at his plate, pushing his food around his plate, and taking a bit here and there. Jackson stood next to her, keeping his eyes on Mr. Malfoy and the Minister, as April stood next to Alexanderia, and Michael stood next to William.

Once the dinner was over, Mrs. Malfoy lead Alexanderia, Madeline, Draco, and two guards to the living room.

"Why don't you take Madeline to your room Draco?" Mrs. Malfoy asked, Draco looked up at her shrugging.

"No, go ahead, go play." Mrs. Malfoy said, Malfoy finally looked at Madeline, who had found it very annoying that he hadn't looked at her once all night, and she didn't know why.

"Do you want to go upstairs?" He asked her, she nodded.

"Okay," she said, they started walking to the stairs, when Madeline noticed Jackson following them.

"Jackson, why don't you go see if my father needs anything?" She asked him, Jackson glanced at the youngest Malfoy.

"I'll be fine alone." Madeline said again, Jackson nodded.

"As you wish, your highness." He said, before turning around and walking to the office, where Mr. Malfoy, the Minister, and William were having drinks in. Draco led them Ayer upstairs, turning left and pushing open the first door.

Madeline scanned the room, seeing a large king bed in the middle of the room, with an emerald, green comforter, and emerald, green pillows. There were posters of quidditch teams, showing them flying around the pitch, along with a desk pushed to the corner of the room, facing a window.

"I thought you room would look different." Madeline said, as she walked in, and sat on Malfoy's bed. Draco glanced over at her, as he shut the door, and sat down next to her.

"What did you think it looked like?" Draco asked, she shrugged.

"I thought it would have more, I hate mudblood's posters, or how to live the perfect pureblood life but it looks normal, I think it looks nice, actually." She said, Draco stared at her, folding his hands in his lap.

"I'm not that insane." Malfoy said,

"I disagree."

"You always disagree with me." Draco grinned, as Madeline spotted the book on his desk. She stood up, grabbing the book, seeing that it was the History of Muggles and Magic, with a bookmark saving Malfoy's place, he was halfway done with the book, already.

"You read it?" Madeline grinned, as she turned to look at him.

"It's just a book," He shrugged, trying to fight his blush.

"It's not just a book! It's helping you unlearn all that horrible stuff you've been raised on." Draco shook his head at her.

"It's really not a big deal,"

"I think it is. I'm really happy for you, Draco." She said, he looked down at his hands, this was the first time she's said his name, and it sent a thrill through his body, but he ignored it as he managed a smile for her.

"Thank you," he said, she set the book down and sat down next to Draco.

"I never thought that we would be invited to dinner at your house." Madeline said,

"I didn't either, I was just as shocked as you were when they told me you were coming over today."

"I can't wait to go back to Hogwarts." Draco whispered, Madeline noticed that his hand went to his stomach, wincing, before she could give it much thought, a house elf apparted into Draco's room.

"Ms. Ayer, your parents told Dobby to tell you that they must go now." Dobby said,

"Thank you, Dobby." The house elf bowed, before apparting away. Draco stood up and opened his bedroom door, they walked down the long stairs, seeing her parents putting their coats on, the four guards standing behind them, lingering by the door. It seemed like Fudge had already apparted away.

"Did you have fun, Madeline?" Her father asked, she nodded.

"Yes, I did." She said, as the house elf handed her, her jacket. She slipped it on, as she noticed Mr. Malfoy staring at Michael again.

"I'm sorry, do you mind if you took off your helmet?" Mr. Malfoy asked, Michael. Michael looked at the king, who nodded, wondering what Mr. Malfoy was up too. Michael took a deep breath before, shaking hands lifted his helmet off. The three Malfoy's gasped, looking at him, and now Madeline knew why that oil painting had looked so familiar, because the boy in the painting was Michael. He was a spitting image of his father, even with the large scar across his face, anyone could tell he was a Malfoy.

"Michael?" Mrs. Malfoy gasped, but Michael stared at the ground, not making eye contact with his parents or Draco.

"We should get going." Michael said looking at the King, who stared at between the family and Michael with interest.

"Yes, let's be on our way." Jackson opened the door, and the royal family walked out with the guards following at their heels. The Malfoy's heard several loud cracking noises and knew that the family had disappeared.

Lucious turned to his wife; his face filled with rage. He grabbed a vase from a side table, and smashed it, tiny green shards of glass went flying across the marble floors.

"Our son protecting muggles? Disgusting, I thought he could go no lower than falling in love with one." He muttered; his hands clutched into large fists. Draco looked at his hands nervously.

"He's not our son anymore, we made sure of it." Narcissa said, even though Draco knew the words hurt her.

"Yeah, I thought when I gave him that scar, it would knock some sense into him though, I guess I was wrong." Lucius said, Narcissa shut her eyes, trying to make sure her voice didn't quiver as she spoke.

"You have Draco." Lucius looked up over at his youngest son, who stared at the broken shards of glass. Draco could hear his father take several steps to reach him, before he put his hands on Draco's shoulders. Draco winched, as he looked up at his father.

"At least I have you. You won't make the same mistake will you Draco? You won't fall in love with a muggle and betray us?"

"No father, I won't."
