The first day of the school year Dumbledore had announced that the Hogwarts's students would be joined by two schools, Beaxbuots and Drumstrang. The three schools would be competing in the tri-wizard tournament, one champion from each school would be chosen to compete in three challenges.

"You think they're going to be any cute ones coming?" Daphne asked, as they walked ahead of the boys up to the great hall.

"Hey! I heard that!" Theo shouted from behind them. Daphne and Theo had gotten together over the last summer, Daphne ignored him, but couldn't help smirking, as she looked at Madeline.

"I'm sure there has to be at least one."

"Better be, I need some new ones to look at."

"You're not the only one." Madeline joked, as they walked into the great hall. The group sat down at the Slytherin table, waiting for the other students to arrive.

"What are they doing here?" Blaise asked, nodding towards Barty Crouch, and Ludo Bagman, who sat at the staff table.

"There here for the tournament." Draco said, as he picked up a cup that was filled with water, before Blaise could respond, Dumbledore stood up and walked to the podium, a big smile on his face.

"Please join me in welcoming the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic!" Dumbledore gestured to the door, as the great hall doors, swung open. A very tall women, at least ten feet, walked in, wearing a dark blue gown, and short hair that reached her ears. Behind her walked in several pairs of boys and girls. They nodded at the staff table, before standing to the left of them.

"Madam Maxime. Welcome to Hogwarts, my dear." Professor Dumbledore said, as Madam Maxime walked up to him, he grabbed her large hand, and kissed the top of it.

"Ah, Dumbly-dorr. You are well, yes?" She asked,

"Blooming!" He answered, she nodded and sat down at the seat they had placed next to Dumbledore's chair. Dumbledore looked back at the students, before he gestured to the doors again.

And now...our friends from the- north! Please greet the proud- students of Durmstrang!" A tall ugly man walked in, with a large cane, several people dressed in red, and wearing thick coats walked in. One boy stood out from the rest; Madeline felt like he was very familiar but couldn't remember where she had seen him from.

"That's him," Draco said,

"Who?" Daphne asked,

"Victor Krum," Draco answered, as there headmaster shook hands with Dumbledore before sitting down.

"Now, let us enjoy our first feast together." Dumbledore clapped his hands together, and several trays of food were placed in front of the students, and they started enjoying there feast.

"Let's do something fun." Theo said, as the group sat in the common room later that night. Theo drummed his fingers against the couch cushions, Madeline, who sat next to him, glared at him, grabbing his finger.

"Stop drumming."

"Let's do something then." Theo said, trying to pull his fingers out of her grasp.

"I have an idea! Let's go explore the grounds at night. We've never done that before." Blaise said, as Theo managed to get his fingers out of Madeline's hands.

"Yes!" Theo said,

"I don't know, last time I did, I saw some weird monster." Draco said, remembering the first time he went to the dark forest, with Potter, Weasley, and Granger.

"Oh, come on! I'm bored!"

"Oh alright." Daphne said, the group stood up following Daphne's lead. The wall slid open, Thoe poked his head out, looking around for Filch.

"I don't see Filch, let's go." The group quickly slid out of the common room. Daphne put a finger against her lips, letting everyone know to be quiet until they get out of the castle.

The Slytherin common room was in the dungeons, so it was a bit of a walk to the grounds then the other common rooms, managing to pass through the hallways without seeing Filch. Finally, they made it to the grounds, and Theo let out a relieved breath.

"That took forever," he said,

"Come on," Daphne said, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the forest.

"Guys are you sure this is a good idea?" Daphne asked,

"You were the one leading us towards it." Blaise pointed out, smirking, pointing at Daphne.

"I mean yeah, but now that we're getting closer to it, it's making me a little nervous." She joked,

"Don't worry Daphne. I'm here to protect you." Theo said, putting an arm around her, she smiled nodding.

"Okay," She nodded, the group walked closer until they were finally at the edge of the forest.

"I don't know why everyone's so scared, it's a regular forest." Madeline said, looking around.

"We're close to the school that's probably why." Malfoy said. The group walked deeper into the forest, several pairs of eyes looking in every direction, trying to see any monster. They flicked there wands, and the tips of there wands lit.

"Guys look," Blaise said, he put his hand in front of Theo's light, making a little bunny that jumped across the forest.

"You're such a baby," Madeline teased, even though she was laughing.

"The bunny is going to attack you!" Blaise said, before moving his hand and starting to attack Madeline's shadow. They started laughing, before they heard a tig snap, they froze, the laughter dying in there throats.

"What was that?" Theo asked,

"I don't know, but I'm not sticking around to find out." Blaise said, before starting to run to the forest. Theo grabbed Daphne's hand and flowed Theo's lead.

"Did they just leave us?" Madeline asked,

"Yes, they did." Malfoy said, shaking his head, before they heard another twig break. Draco gasped, and before he knew it, he had grabbed Ayer's arm, and pushed her against the tree, covering her body from whatever was coming.

"What are you-" Madeline gasped, as her back hit the tree.

"Sh!" Malfoy said, but Madeline wasn't going to say anything any time soon, Malfoy's body was pressed up against her's, she looked up at him through her eyelashes, seeing Malfoy looking over his shoulder, the moonlight hitting his skin, his hair falling over his forehead. Her nostrils were filled with the strong smell of his cologne.

"Malfoy-" She sputtered, feeling a blush creep up her face.

"Hold on the bushes over there are moving," Malfoy said, pressing her closer to the tree, but he didn't realize that he was pressing his body closer to hers at the same time.

"I think it's fine!" She muttered, turning a even deeper shade of red.

"Sh!" Malfoy said, Madeline heard the creature's footsteps becoming farther and farther, trying to ignore how Malfoy's body felt against hers. Finally, Malfoy let her go, looking around the forest.

"Okay, we have to go, this was a stupid idea." Malfoy muttered, he grabbed Madeline by the elbow and started walking towards the castle, they both didn't speak until they got into the castle, managing to narrowly escape Filch, and get into the common room.
