Chapter 66

"So are your friends excited to be here?" Elizabeth asked, as Madeline changed into her dinner gown. It was a long deep purple gown with a high neckline, and a tulip sleeve. She walked to her dresser and sat down waiting for Elizabeth to fix her hair. 

"They're very excited. Daphne is the most excited, she's basically jumping up and down the whole time." Madeline paused, biting her lower lip nervously. 

"But I feel nervous for Draco-"

"Draco's here too?" Elizabeth cut in; Madeline nodded.

"I'm sorry, ma'am I cut you off." Madeline waved off her apology.

"I don't care, Elizabeth. But yes, he's here. Are you going to meet your brother-in-law?" Madeline asked. 

"Michael and I are trying to plan a moment where we can. I'm not sure when exactly since he's so busy. They put up a lot of extra protocols ever since that tournament your school had last year." Elizabeth explained,

"I'm sure Draco will be very excited to meet you, and if not, I'll force him too." Madeline said, Elizabeth laughed. She looked at her hair in the mirror as Elizabeth finished, it was a high bun with two strands framing Madeline's face. She always did it so beautifully.

"There, you are all set, ma'am."

"Thank you, Elizabeth. I'll see you later. I'm almost late to dinner." Madeline said, Elizabeth nodded. Madeline pushed open her door, seeing Draco waiting outside for her.

"What are you doing out here? A maid should have shown you where the dining room was." Madeline asked.

"I wanted to walk downstairs with you, if that's okay," Draco said, Madeline nodded.

"Yes, I'd love too." Madeline grinned, she shut the door behind her before they started walking downstairs.

"How much do you want to bet that Blaise is sitting next to your sister right now?" Draco asked, Madeline shook her head.

"Oh, I know for a fact he is, and that Daphne is probably sitting next to my mother, fawning over here right now." Madeline shook her head as they walked down the long stairs.

"It's so...strange." Draco said,

"What is?"

"Your life, I mean I understand that you are a princess, and one day will be queen, but I just never realized that your life is like this. I mean I am one of the richest families in the wizarding world, and even I don't live like this." Draco said, Madeline laughed.

"I know at Hogwarts were all the same, you never see me outside of that. This is all coming as a shock." Madeline said, 

"But I know Daphne is probably loving everything about it." Draco said, Madeline nodded, as they reached the door of the dining hall. The servants bowed before opening the door. Just like the thought Blaise was sitting next to Grace and Daphne was sitting across from the Queen. Madeline sat down to the right of her father, and Draco sat next to Elijah.

"Do you guys have any interesting plans while on holiday?" King William asked.

"I'd like to show my friends around the palace tomorrow, Dad." Madeline said, as a butler put her plate in front of her. It was a

"I think that's a wonderful idea." Alexanderia said, Madeline nodded.

"So, what do you guys do at Hogwarts?" 

"Blaise, Theo, and Draco are on the quidditch team." Madeline said, 

"Oh, that sounds like fun. Are you three any good?"
