Royalty at Hogwarts- Draco Malfoy

Chapter 2

Madeline couldn't sleep the next morning, she was so excited for today, that once she heard her maid finally open the door she already had jumped out of bed. She had made sure to change into a simple outfit, of jeans and a shirt, along with her parents.

"They should be here soon." Her father said, as he noticed her rocking back and forth on her tippy toes.

"I know but I can't wait, Dad!" She said, ten more minutes past and then finally there was a loud noise in the corner of the room, and a man appeared. He was a tall, very skinny man, that had long black hair, and wore a long black dress, similar to the one Dumbledore had worn yesterday.

"Hello," The name said, in a very monotone voice.

"Hello, are you the professor that Dumbledore was talking about?" Her father said, standing up and offering his hand to the man to shake.

"Yes I am. My name is Professor Severus Snape." Snape said, as he shook William's hand.

"I am King William Ayer, this is my wife, Queen Erica Ayer, and my daughter Princess Madeline Ayer." Her father put a hand on Madeline's shoulder and brought her closer to the man.

"Hello," she said, Snape nodded at her.

"Well, we better be going. Are you all coming?" He asked the parents.

"Yes."

"Wonderful." He muttered, but Madeline was convinced he was actually not very pleased.

They walked around Diagon Alley, Madeline and her parents gaped at the shops and people. Madeline rushed up to Snape and started walking next to him. Snape peered down at the girl, as she grinned up at him.

"What's our first stop?" 

"The bank." Snape said,

"The bank? I thought wizards were supposed too more interesting than this." Madeline commented,

"How are you supposed to pay for your supplies then?" Snape asked, shortly. Madeline didn't answer, making him shake his head. 

"Before we enter, do not stare at the bank workers. They are goblins." Snape told them before pushing open the doors to the bank. Madeline looked around seeing creepy goblins looking down at them from very high desks. She saw her mother clutching on her father's hand, who also seemed to be very intrigued by them.

William handed the goblin, who Madeline noticed was wearing very small glasses that looked off on his large face their muggle money. The goblin snatched the money before trading it for the wizarding money.

After getting her wand, which was a cheery wood, 12inch, with a dragon core, and her books all that was left was getting her robes. The family, and Snape entered the shop, and were greeted by a young witch.

"Hello, are you here for Hogwarts robes?" She asked, Snape nodded.

"Yes, for this child." Snape said, he pushed Madeline closer to the shop lady.

"Madeline." She told the lady who chuckled lightly.

"Yes, follow me. Give us twenty minutes." She told the family, they nodded, as they watched her walk into the back room. The lady pushed the curtain open, and Madeline saw a blond girl, that looked around the same age as her, stood on a stool getting measured by a lady.

"Stand up here, hon." The lady said, Madeline hopped up onto the stool, as the lady said she'd be right back.

"Hi," The blond girl said,

"Hi,"

"I'm Daphne Greengrass. What's your name?"

"Madeline Ayer." Madeline said.

"That's a pretty name. Are you a first year?" Daphne asked, Madline nodded, as the lady came back and started measuring Madeline.

"Yeah."

"I can't wait to start Hogwarts; my parents told me all about it! They said it's going to some of the best years of our lives."

"Really? Your parents are wizards?" 

"Yeah! Oh, are you a muggleborn?" Daphne asked, Madeline nodded.

"Yeah, I am."

"Oh, that's cool, I've never met a muggleborn. So that means you don't know what house you'll be in."

"House?" Madeline said, Daphne nodded.

"We all get sorted into houses. There's Slytherin, I know I'm going to get sorted into that one."

"How do you know?" 

"My whole family are Slytherins. Every single one of us. All purebloods are put into Slytherins."

"Oh,"

"And then there's Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff." Madeline nodded.

"What do you think your goanna be sorted in?" Daphne asked, Madeline shrugged.

"I'm not sure."

"Well, I hope you get sorted into Slytherin with me. I mean even if you're a muggleborn, you seem like a Slytherin." 

"Thanks, I guess?" Madeline laughed, making Daphne smile. 

"Your all done hon." The lady told Daphne, who nodded and got down.

"I'll see you on September 1. Let's find each other, so we can sit in the same compartment." She said, Madline nodded before she watched her walk to the front of the store.
