Madeline raced up to her dormitory, her face still a bright red color. Madeline grabbed a fresh pair of jeans, and a black sweater before going into the bathroom, deciding to take a shower and freshen up before breakfast.
Once she walked out of the bathroom, she spotted Pansy and Daphne in the dormitory, Pansy gave her a disgusted look before walking into the bathroom and slamming the door shut. Madeline shook her head at the door before glancing at a smirking Daphne. Daphne had changed out of her pajama's while Madeline was in the bathroom, now wearing a pair of jeans and a navy-blue sweater, that had two white stripes on the sleeves.
"Sleep well?" She teased, tilting her head at Madeline.
"I will murder you," Madeline hissed, glaring at Madeline as she walked over to her bed, and sat down.
"So, do you care to explain how you and Draco were wrapped up into each other's arms while sleeping?" Daphne giggled, as she sat across Madeline on the large bed.
"Keep your voice down, Pansy's in the bathroom." Daphne rolled her eyes.
"Oh please, it's not like she can hear us."
"I don't know, I would like to wake up in one piece. being a mudblood to her is one thing, Malfoy is a completely other level of Pansy's craziness." Madeline said, Daphne shrugged.
"That's true,"
"Anyway, do you want to head down for breakfast?" Madeline asked her, Daphne nodded, they both stood up, Madeline took off her shower slippers, and changed into a pair of sneakers, before they walked down to the common room. Blaise, Theo, and Malfoy were already there, they smirked at Madeline, who glared at them menacingly. Malfoy didn't seem to notice this exchange as they got off the couch.
"I thought you three would be at breakfast already?" Madeline said, Blaise shrugged crossing his arms over his chest.
"We thought we should wait for you two. Took you long enough though." Blaise commented, as they started walking towards the wall, it slid open, and they exited the Slytherin common room.
"Then you could have just gone to breakfast," Madeline laughed,
"I wanted to be a gentleman and wait for the ladies." Blaise said, nodding his head towards them graciously.
"Wow, I'm touched," Daphne muttered.
---
Madeline sat down in an empty chair in defense against the dark arts, Daphne sat behind her next to Theo, and Blaise sat in front of her next to a pretty Gryffindor girl. She heard someone sit down next to her as she got out her wand from her pocket and placed her bag on the ground. Madeline turned her head, seeing Malfoy in the seat next to hers.
"Well don't look so surprised, there's not a lot of empty seats are there?" Malfoy said, taking out his wand. Malfoy was grinning, as he crossed his arm, and leaned lazily back against the chair.
"I'm not," she said, shrugging one shoulder casually. The classroom door burst open, and Snape came strutting in, with a big smirk on his face that matched Malfoy's. There was a string hanging from the front wall, Snape pulled it down showing a projector, he flicked his wand, and all the windows were shut.
"Turn to page 394." Snape said, everyone reached for their bags, and pulled out there copy of Defense against the dark arts. Draco pulled out a piece of paper, and some quills, along with his book, and started folding the papers into little birds, as Potter questioned Snape on where Professor Lupin was.
"Werewolves?" They heard Weasley ask. Madeline drew her eyes away from watching Malfoy make paper airplanes, to the screen where a large werewolf was shown.
"But, sir, we've only just begunlearning about Red Caps andHinkypunks. We're not meant tostart nocturnal beasts forweeks --" Hermione said.
"Quiet!" Snape shouted at her, waving his hand at the flying paper bird near his face.
"Now. Which of you can tell me thedifference between an Animagus anda werewolf?" Snape asked, as Malfoy took out a quill and started drawing something on his parchment. Madeline leaned closer, seeing a boy with glasses getting struck by lightning. She couldn't help but giggle as she looked at it. Draco looked up at her surprised, Madeline had not noticed how close she had leaned over to look at Malfoy's drawing. Her face was only about five inches away from his, she could count how many eyelashes he had, she blushed, jerking her head away and back to the front. Draco folded the paper into a bird, he blew on it lightly, and it flew landing on Potter's desk.
