There was a loud bang as the door opened, Madeline's covers were thrown off her. "What's going on?" Madeline said, sitting up. Michael grabbed Madeline's robe, as she stood up, he helped her put on her robe, and slip on her slippers. Jackson stood guarding the door, holding his wand against his chest.

"Death eaters are in the castle Princess Madeline; we need to go now. We need to move you to the safe room." Michael said, he grabbed Madeline's arm, and started running down the hall.

"My family are they alright? And the Days?" She asked,

"There being brought down by the other guards, don't worry." Jackson answered, they ran down the stairs, an ear-piercing laugh behind them.

"Stupefy!" Someone shouted, Madeline looked over her shoulder making eye contact with Bellatrix Lestrange, smiled at her, her yellow and chipped teeth catching the light, she lifted her wand up, her irking laugh piercing through the air.

"Come on Mudblood Princess, I just want to play."

"GO! GO! I'll hold her off!" Henry, an older recruit guard shouted, he took his wand out muttering a curse under his breath, a blue light hit Bellatrix in the arm. She screamed, but Madeline looked away from the fight, as Michael grabbed her arm, they turned a corner.

They stopped in the middle of the hallway, Jackson ran his hand against the wall counting them under his breath.

before he got to the fifth one, then he went down one, and pushed against the brick. The brick slid inside the wall, before the whole wall started moving, reveling a long black hallway. They grabbed Madeline's arms again and started running down the hallway.

"Hey! Come back-" They heard a death eater shout, they ran towards the hallway, but the wall was closing behind them. They heard the death eater slam against the wall, the tip of Madeline's flashlight lit up, illuminating the dark hallway.

"Not much longer now. It should be right here." Jackson whispered, they reached a locked brown door, he pressed the tip of his wand to the door, and it creaked open. They pushed Madeline in, she tripped, landing on her knees, as they locked the door behind them.

"Madeline, are you alright?" Grace asked, as she stood up. Madeline nodded, rubbing her hands together. She looked around the room, in the corner were several boxes of food that could last them months if that case ever happened. There were several beds lined up against the wall on the other side of the room. Her parents were whispering in the corner, there heads low, and close. The Days were laying on the bed, trying to sleep. Michelle and Elijah sat on the floor, her head on his shoulder, but they weren't talking just enjoying the silence during this long night.

"Come on Madeline, come sleep." Grace said, grabbing Madeline's hand, and trying to lead her to the bed.

"No, it's alright. I'm going to stay up and figure out what happened with Dad. You go get some rest." Madeline said, Grace nodded before walking over to the bed, and laying down. Madeline stood up straight, fixing her eyes, as she felt the sleep leaving her body, as she walked over to her father.

It had been almost three hours since the death eater had entered the palace, and Madeline was forced into the safer room with her parents. The door finally creaked opened; Madeline stood up straighter she didn't have a chance to grab her wand, but she was going to try and do something.

"Your Majesty, we've cleared the palace. The death eaters have fled." Michael said, walking in. His clothes were covered in blood, his face looked like he had been punched or hit, he held a wound closed with his hand.

"Thank you, Michael." William said,

"Are you alright Michael?" Madeline asked, walking up to him. He nodded but even that made him wince. She grabbed his wrist, lifting his hand away from the wound. She hissed looking at the deep gash.

"What happened?"

"Apparently even Death eaters enjoy knives." He laughed, pressing his hand over his wound again.

"Did you call the doctors already?" Michael nodded,

"All the wizarding doctors we have are already on there way."

"Come in," she said, they walked down the long tunnel, Michael leaned his body weight against Madeline, he was losing more and more blood as they walked. The palace was almost destroyed, the windows were broken, shattered glass was littered over the floor, tables were toppled over, vases, painting, she looked at the head of her room. There was blood smeared against the walls, there were several wounded guards helping each other up the stairs and to the doctors.

"Henry," Madeline gasped, he was dead. He laid face first, his arm laid lifelessly on the ground still clutching his wand, his eyes glazed over, his mouth parted slightly like he had just taken his last breath.

"Don't look, Madeline." Michael said, he used his free hand, and forced her head to look straight ahead. Madeline swallowed the lump forming in her throat, blinking back the tears.

"Who killed him?"

"Rodolphus Lestrange. Bellatrix's husband." Madeline didn't feel like talking as she helped Michael to the doctor. The doctor took Michael from her and shut the curtain around him.

"Where's Michael?" Elizabeth asked, she ran up to Madeline, looking at the blood on her hands, the rim of her eyes were red, her face flushed, her bottom lip was shaking, close to tears again.

"He's okay, he's with the doctor right now."

"Oh, thank God, I saw Henry...and I just thought..."She choked out a sob again, her body shaking. Madeline hugged her, rubbing her back as she sobbed into Madeline's shoulder.

"No-no- this is very unprofessional. You're the princess, and I'm your maid-" Elizabeth said, lifting her head off of Madeline's shoulder, she stepped away from Madeline, whipping her face, wrapping her arms around her waist.

"No don't say that. Your husband was injured, it doesn't matter who I am right now or who you are right now." Madeline said, Elizabeth laughed, blinking away more tears.

"Come sit down. I'm sure we'll hear some news soon." Madeline said, she led Elizabeth towards a couple chairs that were lined up against the wall. Madeline watched as more guards arrived, even muggle ones that looked very confused about the recent attack. She walked up to each of them, thanking them for there help during the attack, and asking if they needed anything before another maid dragged her away to clean her up and have breakfast.
