Harry

Heading to the chimney, I allowed her in and followed, before locking it again and throwing the powder. Our destination flashed before our eyes and we landed in an almost empty basement. The basement was cleaner than he'd expected and the only person in the room was Albus, buried in four extra large books.

"What world did we just walk into?" Ginny teased and Albus' head raised, his fingers receding out of his hair, leaving them messy.

"Mum?" His eyes widened.

"Homework?" I pointed. He didn't say anything and almost tripped sliding out from behind the table and reaching for Ginny.

"Oh." Ginny gasped as he collided in her.

"You're home." He looked at her, moving back and fixing his hair.

"Yeah. Al, are you... did you eat those sweet rocks Fred brought?" Ginny ran a hand through his hair, cupping his cheek.

"No, I was just studying."

"It's three in the morning, son." I cocked a brow.

"Yeah. I know. Everyone's asleep in the lounge upstairs. Lil saved you some cake. Said she'll send the cake to the ministry tomorrow for you.." He cleared his throat, "Erm, you want some?"

"Al, honey, are you okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah. Why?" He seemed exhausted. While he was still chatting with Ginny about the party at home, I walked around the dinner table to his books and the spread out parchments. These were study books but not coursework. One was the Lawworks of the Wizagnamont. The other, Carsion Haven's transformations law. The other was the regular and basic rules of the wizard world and the fourth, and the thickest was one about careers in the Wizard world. On a single parchment, he'd written many words but what I could read was a heading, double underlined; Werewolf's Family Rules.

I'd never even read such topics.

"Albus?" I called and he turned, "What is this?"

"Er, nothing, dad." He staggered around, flipping the books close. Ginny cocked her head at me and I pursed my lips.

"Albus." I stopped him, "Go to sleep. We'll see you kids at breakfast." He looked almost embarrassed, turning from Ginny to myself. Walking ahead, he picked up the loose parchments, and she rubbed his back before he went up the stairs stretching in his blue shirt and black trousers.

"What was he doing?" Ginny came behind me, looking at the papers over my shoulder. A gasp came from her as she checked the books, "Was he really?" I looked over at her by shoulder and pecked her head.

"I told you." I whispered, and she dropped her head on my back. Stacking the books away, I picked them up, and Ginny went for the stairs with her bag.

Albus

I was still flipping through a book on transformations in my room when a knock on the door frightened me straight.

"Merlin, Candice!" I jumped, and she giggled.

"What're you doing up so late? You do know it's almost five in the morning, right?" She leaned by the door in her sleeping shorts and t-shirt on top.

"You're awake as well, y'know." I pointed, flipping open the book again, looking for my page.

"I was thirsty."

"Uh-Huh. The kitchen is about three floors too below from here." I winked.

"Pardon me from worrying a little."
