Teddy

"Stay here." I kept Dominique behind me and felt her shivering and the person fighting with us, on her fault was Bill Weasley. Dom's father. She wanted to find him and her mother who was right around as well. I wanted to find my parents as well but the mere thought of the fact that this was the night that they'd die didn't settle well with me.

I did want to hear their voices. But will the pain grow fresh and worse than before?

I want to go home. I want to hug Aunt Ginny again. Maybe she'll make me some beet juice.

"Kid watch out." Bill Weasley woke me up and I stunned two people away. The war was continuous and there was no time to breathe. We headed for the Great Hall and I ran into Jason over there. He was breathless, dirty, bloody on the cheek and tearful.

"Where's Mason?" I held him and he broke into a sob. I don't believe it. No. No. Oh, God, what if this is real? Mason. Oh... no...

Jason was tearful and eyeing the mess with bitten lips. It was how we were both feeling at the moment. Numb. Mason was dead. Then over a few heads, as if a sickened heart looking for peace, I found him across the room. A man I'd only seen moving in pictures. My father. He was battling fiercely with a woman beside him. They were so close, so protective.

This is enough for me. I will never remember them in death.

I looked away and helped with the war, only this time, I never searched for my parents as they probably died in the rumbling crowd.

"Teddy..." I heard a heavyweight pull on my back. I turned and Dominique was... huffing and gathering herself. I fell on my knees with her and Jason shielded us.

"Hey, hey. I'm right here." I cupped her face as she smiled. I eyed her tired figure where blood showed everywhere. She wasn't stabbed or anything... so what happened? "Dominique, I need you to look at me. You're going to be okay. Just fine, okay?"

She didn't say anything and as if a child falling asleep, she shut her eyes and fell on my chest.

"T-Teddy?" Jason shivered. His eyes widened at the limp figure. He cupped his mouth and stumbled back, bumping into Bill Weasley.

"Your sister..." He pointed, "I...I'm..."

"You should find your wife." I told him, "Go. We'll be okay." I held my breath and his hand trembled but he started looking for his wife again. I picked Domonique up as Jason covered us and we walked to a corner. A few men crowded us but Scorpius came through, dirty and helpful. He was trembling by the time he paused. He left us quietly and came back a few seconds later with a figure in his arms.

"What the hell, oh my God!" Jason fell to his knees as he laid Rose's body on the floor.

"No..no... please, Scorpius..."

"She died protecting Ron Weasley as he ran out of the castle with Harry Potter." He pressed a hand on the floor, visibly shaking.

"Look, this has to be a dream." I pulled the boys up, "It's a dream. They are not gone. We will wake up and we will see them. I know we will."

"We have to." Jason hiccupped, "Can we bring Mason here?"

Scorpius blinked in shock and Jason dropped his head.

"When this clears out a bit."

"And why would that happen?"

"Well, according to the read, before Harry Potter went to the forest, Voldemort gave a warning. Which included the retrieval of all his followers from the castle." I blinked and they nodded "Till then, we stay in this corner. We stay together."
