Albus

We all gathered at our benches. Allr in the Ravenclaw section, even if supporting different teams. The captains came to the ground and the players flew up. With close observation, I could find Candice sitting on her broom, holding her bat on her shoulder. Her head was facing another direction and from the blonde head, that looked back at her, I knew what was going on. I still didn't like that guy.

The game started and surprisingly, Candice's swings were sharp and strong like the bat was a part of her arm. She was a good flyer on top of that as well. She flew through many dangerous points but never fell off her broom, however Slytherin's team was better. Just when the game was nearing its end and Jason was lunging for the snitch, the commentator yelled something and another one of Hufflepuff's players was falling off of their broom. Which was Candice...

She was falling back down and my scream almost came out when, Jason swooped in and clutched her around the waist, almost making them stagger and lower fast till they hit the ground together. The roars settled when she laid on top of Jason as they landed with a crash and they quickly sat up together. Candice rubbed his head and he raised his arm, showing the snitch in his hand.

Not only had he saved Candice but he caught the snitch as well.

"Go Jason!" Lil screamed clapping and I gave small ones, since I was a little impressed by his work.

As the players left the grounds, we followed the crowd out as well and I was a little worried to not see the two lovebirds amongst the team crowds that came from the tents.

"Where are they?" Lil asked.

"Maybe the hospital? They had a bad crash." Rose suggested and we followed her to the infirmary where they really were. The two of them, sitting on the beds next to each other, facing one another. Madame Pomfrey was checking on Candice and gave her a chalice, along with Jason. When she left the two, Jason raised a hand to caress her cheek and she held his bandaged hand, pressing it to her forehead and bending forward in some sadness.

"I feel single right now." Lil mumbled and I frowned.

"Hey, you lot!" Mason ran in and we followed quietly. I didn't want to look at them and suddenly realized, I wasn't moving.

"Albus?" I jumped at the hand on my shoulder. It was Cilia and for some reason, her closeness wasn't freaking me out. No, maybe because the only thing on my mind was that I wasn't the one... helping her.

Maybe Jason was the right one for her. The friend and more that she ever wanted. I walked for Cilia's sake and we joined our friends.

"That was amazing, mate." Scorpius nodded at Jason. He seemed to have injured his hand and when I looked at Candice, she had a bruise and scrape on her cheek.

"I still missed." He sighed.

"Yeah, maybe the snitch delayed the response time." I spoke without thought and Candice looked at me, seeming a little disappointed.

"Al-" Rose started.

"No. He's right." Jason shook his head, "I was just catching the snitch when I saw her fall. I should've just left it there."

"And I would've never forgiven you, had you done that." Candice spoke up and he sighed, "I'm not even hurt as bad as you. You sprained your wrist."

"I'm not surprised." Scorpius added, "The velocity alone created so much pressure in that single swoop. Even with a broom, Jason couldn't have held his own. He may have held onto you by hand at some point that triggered his wrist to deform. Good thing he didn't break it."
