I gasped when something cold touched my face. It almost burned, snapping me awake. Another gasp echoed around me and I pushed past the darkness to look at a grown-up Mrs. Potter. She was taken back in surprise and I sat up in the same spell as well.

"You're awake." She beamed.

"I... It... was it really a dream?" I gulped and she nodded.

"It was. How do you feel?" She placed a cloth aside. It seemed she was lowering my temperature with a cold towel. But by hand... she didn't have to.

"Honestly, I thought I died." I gulped, "I thought it was the end."

"How did you die? Was it the battle?"

"No. I lived past it. I-"

"I got your text!" Albus shocked us, running into the small bedroom. I felt the breath knocked out of me as he rushed into the room. Loud footsteps echoed and Lily, followed by James.

"Keep it down!" Mrs. Potter hissed and they all looked past me. Following their gaze, I finally noticed the boy sleeping on the other single bed in the room. He wasn't snoring but Mason was knocked out cold, "He hadn't slept for days so we had to give him sleeping potion."

"How long..." I choked.

"You've been gone a month." Albus sighed and I gulped the glass of water Lily gave me.

"How long did it feel like there?" Lily asked.

"About two months after the battle. I was living with the Weasleys that whole time since I told them that I had nowhere to go. Mr. Gideon and Mr. Louis vouched for me."

"Hmm. Ed's word would've worked." Mrs. Potter nodded.

"Yeah. That's what you said to Mr. Potter as well when he asked why you were keeping me there. Mr. Potter's a bit... amazing." I could feel my gratitude showing at the last memory, "I thought I was going to die and that was the end. As if I'd gone back in time, so without care... I just barged into Henris' office with Mr. Potter and Mr. Barnsite. Even though I'd lied to them to get into Henris' office, they chose to side with me in my last moments. They protected me against Henris and his aurors."

The Potters didn't seem surprised at my words as if they already knew what Mr. Potter would've done.

"I even begged him to search Henris' home and keep Mrs. Potter away from him. I couldn't hear what he said before I died but... he seemed to believe me. I thought I'd died in peace. But this isn't a bad turn of events either." I chuckled, though I knew I was crying. I wanted Mason to wake up and hug me. I missed him so much and I was just realizing the intensity of that feeling as I watched him sleep away.

"I'll bring you something to eat." Mrs. Potter stood, leaving the kids behind.

"He'll be up soon. It'd been five days since he slept, we had to force it." Lily sat by the foot of the bed.

"I'm just happy to see you guys." I snickered, "Shit... I still think this is a dream too." Now, I let myself properly cry. I couldn't hold it back. I was so alone.

"It's not a dream." James grinned, "Welcome back."

Mason

The moment, a bit of sense started gaining on me, even with shut eyes, I could tell I'd been drugged to sleep. My head felt heavy and my senses dulled. This is why it was easier to kill drugged people. I was pissed but even for that, I was lazy to act.
