Harry/Barnsite

Did she really look this way all that time that I pushed her away? I couldn't help this question repeating itself in my brain after that awkward fight that I clearly now remembered having. After she chased me and fixed my face, she'd seemed patient, as if waiting for me to kiss her and take her back. It wasn't even her fault, yet she was the one anticipating for me to let my wall down and hold her again.

"Ginevra?" I eyed her face as she bent over Barnsite's desk, reading the map, "Are you okay?"

"Mhmm." She smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes. She was always nice to Barnsite. Sweet and kind. Barely ever a snarky remark and never any anger. It always pissed me off, "You know he just cares too much for you."

"I know." Her voice nasal, "But can care always mean love?" She gave such a polite smile. Why are you hiding how hurt you are? I'm not. I'm bursting thunder on anyone and everyone. I don't even have the energy to be kind right now. Why are you being this way? Break my arm or leg and don't fix it. But for the love of Merlin, woman, get mad for yourself.

What would Barnsite say?

I thought for a while. Gee, I never paid attention to his ridiculous ways.

"Ah, he's a little on the crazy side. Don't worry." I said with a tight throat and she snorted.

"Well, you're not wrong about that, good sir." She finally smiled.

"Thank you for doing this, Ginny. Without you, I wasn't sure how I would be able to keep that little girl calm." She had a surprised look on her face as if she wanted to say something. She smiled instead and picked up the map.

"We have to hurry. It's better this is done in daylight." She turned around and gathered the team. Of course, Candice, Al and I were involved and with us, she was taking Eddie and herself. It was strange to see Eddie at such a young age as well. I had no idea he was always so tall. The time for departure was set and Ginny had requested a portkey. She laid the silver bucket and took hands. She was sure to take Candice's hand and stepped in together. The whirlwind was almost nauseating and when we landed, we were staring at a forest going uphill. The sea could be heard from a distance and the winds were strong.

"Wear this?" Ginny pulled out a thick cloak form her bag and laid it on Candice's shoulder, tying the knot in the front, "Your body's already fighting so it's best not to add factors that need more work."

"Let's split up." Ginny paused as we entered the first row of trees, "I'll take Rave, and Caleb can join me. Barnsite and Eddie, you take a different route. But we mustn't lose groups."

"Okay." I nodded. I felt like I knew what I was doing. I'd been here before but she'd shown us a picture of what the tree looked like which had the antidote sap that we had to collect.

We parted just as she said and I wandered off with Eddie.

"Hey, Barnsite."

"Yeah?" I gulped.

"You're being strange today." Eddie spoke and I almost froze.

"Guess it must be the effect of the great Ginevra Weasley." I chuckled, nervous.

"Ugh. I told you, she's still with Harry. They broke up but they'll patch up." He assured and I smiled lightly.

"I know. I'm not trying to get in between them."

"Of course I know that." He chuckled, "But Barnsite, I thought you'd tell Ginny to not work this case."

"Are you kidding? Did you see what she did to... Harry?" I shook my head. I wasn't interested in getting my nose broken again.
