"Wands up!" Mum yelled as the snatchers ran for us. Uncle Neville set a bomb that started collapsing the bridge rather beautifully.

"This is awesome." Candice laughed but Uncle Neville seemed to be cutting it a little short.

"Neville!" Mum yelled. A snatcher was about to catch Uncle Neville when a blast went past us and hit him away. It'd been Aunt Jenna who'd sent the fire.

Mum helped Uncle Neville up and both grinned looking back at Aunt Jenna.

"Whoa." Candice complimented and she giggled.

She blushed but then we heard blasts behind.

"Follow me!" Uncle Neville yelled and we turned to follow them to the castle. But just at that moment, my foot slipped and Candice gasped. How could I be so stupid?

"Easy!" I was yanked up from the back with an arm around my waist. Mum stood me still, blinking with a mess in her face. Dust and soot on her cheeks.

"T-Thank you." I managed.

"Don't lose footing." She suggested and jogged away.

"Maybe we should just wait it out here." Rose paused us.

"If Aria is wrong and we have time traveled, we can't afford to die." Scorpius explained.

"Or, erm, I mean if we die, it won't change any of their future right? We'll just be gone on the day we traveled." Candice shrugged.

"That's still crazy. You really wanna die here of all places?" Rose fought.

"Man, I just saw my thirteen years old mum run for battle. How can I ignore that?"

"Of course you can. She survives this."

I flinched hearing screams and roars.

"It's a mess in there." My fists clenched.

"A nightmare." Scorpius murmured.

"I can't..." Candice slipped a tear, "My parents are in there. They're just kids."

"Can, listen to me. This happened in reality, your parents fought and survived this. What if we interfere and they get harmed, hmm?" Rose took her hands.

Candice looked at me and I nodded in agreement.

"Can we at least get... closer to watch?" She asked.

"That will only provoke us to join." Rose reasoned and Candice stomped her foot agitated. Suddenly, she gasped and ran off.

"Can!" I growled, running after her. She paused a few feet by the entrance of the courtyard and I pulled at her arm. My heart paced at the tears on her cheeks.

"Mum's grandpa... he'll die...." I wiped her face and she looked back. I shut my eyes in despair having seen Uncle Ed dragging Aunt Jenna's screaming figure.

"No!" Rose shrieked as Candice ran into the battleground.

"No. God, no!" I followed her mumbling and sending a jinx to one of the oncoming threats. We paused by Aunt Jenna and Uncle Ed.

"Please go." Candice spoke over the ruckus, "You can't die. You can't let his sacrifice be in vain." I was protecting them but listening in.

"He..."

"Go. Please take her." She begged and Uncle Ed frowned but dragged her away. I pulled Candice under my arm and blew a shield in front of us to block our way. Taking her hand, I ran for the exit but it was getting complicated so I charged for the castle. I could hear her fighting with blocks as well like me and when we reached the castle, I blew someone away and crawled us against the wall.
