Everyone stared at us as I dragged him into the Great Hall during lunch hour the next day. They were all surprised to see the result, I'd managed to hide it from everyone and thought it'd be a nice surprise the next day.

They were all quiet and I looked back at Jason.

He seemed a little uncomfortable and pulled him in. He gasped at first in surprise and then his eyes roamed the room as well.

"Guys, I'd like you to meet Jason McDill. My..." I wasn't sure if he'd appreciate the word.

"Boyfriend." He blushed. HE BLUSHED!

"Way to go, McDill. Not a lot of people can handle this little one." Scorpius chuckled and I gave him a glare. Somehow, he remained amused, and I wished I could punch that grin off his face.

Jason squeezed my hand and I turned. He was smiling and my heart swelled.

"Sit." I ordered and for a spell I thought he'd retaliate, instead, he waved for me to take a seat first. Obliging, I did besides Rose, and he came next to me.

"Hi, Jason, I'm Lily!" Lily started and as usual, I was so grateful for her initiative.

"Hello." Jason spoke.

"I'm Dominque! And this is my brother Louis!" Dominque waved and he greeted them as well. Fred and Mason followed, and Scorpius seemed well acquainted.

"Hello, I'm Rose Weasley." Rose spoke and he bowed his head with a small blink.

"Al-Albus." Albus spoke as everyone eyed him, "Potter."

"Nice to meet you all." I was so grateful for his kind behaviour. I was sure a bored guy was waiting to sprout out but at least he was trying.

"Are you okay?" I asked, leaning into his ear. It was so red compared to his pale skin.

"Yeah." He eyed his food.

"So, Jason, tell us something about yourself?" Lil leaned in.

"I'm in third year." He started with the basics.

"What about your family?" Albus asked, rather straightforwardly.

"No family. I live mostly at Hogwarts." He answered, a little sternly. I knew that already. We'd spent scandalous hours after curfew out in the forest, talking about each other and he'd mentioned how he'd been discarded from his family after having supported the Ministry's movement to have better rights for the magical creatures! How cute could he possibly get!

"Oh." Albus' face fell.

"Do you know, Jason writes!" I boasted and everyone turned to us.

"You do?" Mason asked.

"Yes. I write for the Hogwarts Daily section in the Daily Prophet."

"That's amazing, mate." Hugo beamed, "That said, be good with Can. She is the little kitten of the group."

I glared at him.

"With talon like claws." Mason added and I smacked his back.

I felt my face heat up and I wished I could set Mason on fire.

"Which makes her a precious part of this group." I paused and my eyes widened. I looked over at Albus who sipped at his chalice of juice, and I felt the hold my hand grow. Was he nervous? I turned to Albus, who was glaring at him. He was looking intense enough to send a chill to my spine.
