Kim's pov

I hated seeing the fear on Miranda's face. Her eyes stayed glued to the door she opened. I can't believe it's all true. "Why haven't mom and dad come looking for us?" She whimpers, huddled in my lap in sobs. Theo, I think still didn't believe it. He looked on the fence at least. The doctor was still using his weird screwdriver thing on the elevator. All of a sudden, we heard a loud screeching sound, almost like a bull yelling. "Children, we may need to run." The strange man said, looking worriedly down the hall. I looked where he was looking and saw the head of a bull on a biped body, running at us. I snatched up the young terrified 12 year old and we took off running down the corridor, the screech of the weird bull getting closer by the second. "I don't want to die!! Not like this!" Rory cried as we tried to escape then suddenly it went silent and everyone froze. The sounds of hoofbeats were gone and replaced with the wheezing of three kids and three adults. "Now that that's over." The odd man says. I try calling mom and dad again but again no response. "You won't get a response, child. We are in a pocket dimension." This is weird. "How do we get home?!" Theo shouted exasperated. "Now don't get angry at me. These rooms brought us together for a reason. There's something special about this little girl." I quickly move in front of Miranda protectively. This guy is creepy. And a little off his rocker. "You stay away from my sister, you weirdo." The man looked baffled but I didn't care. "Come on." Theo said, grabbing my arm. We walk back to the elevator. "There has to be some way to get this thing moving!" My brother shouts, slamming the keypad and hitting the emergency button over and over. He sure is hotheaded just like our father. The strange man and his companions walked up. "You're getting yourselves nowhere. That elevator brought you here but it won't let you leave." That just plain terrifies Miranda. "I wanna go home!!" She yells, shaking in front of me.

Miranda's pov

How do we go home?! We have to be able to go home somehow! Anger shoots through me in waves and I run to the door, the door that keeps calling me, no matter how terrifying it is. I rip it open, coming face to face with my long forgotten and twisted past. I remember everything now. The cold hospital room. The many needles poking and prodding me. Feeling so weak and exhausted. I didn't have any will to go on other than for my poor mother. I was exhausted and in so much pain. Then he came into my life. I knew mom was safe. I knew she'd be okay. And she is. Even after losing me. But now.... I'm not afraid anymore. I'm not in pain. But I will not let my mother go through that pain ever again. That annoying doctor guy wouldn't shut up. I was so angry at reliving the nightmare I went through,  angry about somehow forgetting it, and even more angry that we are stuck here! I grab my siblings' hands and drag them to the elevator, desperate and determined to go home. "One thing we haven't tried yet." I whisper. I glance at my technically older siblings and hit all the buttons again. They look a little shocked and so do the strangers outside as the doors slowly close. "I'm so scared." I whisper as Kim hugs me. The elevator shoots upward really fast and I clung to Kim for dear life. Finally after five terror inducing moments, the doors open and my heart leapt when I saw room numbers on the doors again. Kim looked at her phone. "Full bars." She whispers. We race down the hall to our room number and burst through the door. "We're back! We made it!" I about, running over and hugging my dad. They both look confused. "What's going on?" Dad asks. What? "You weren't worried? We've been stuck in that weird place for hours!!" I gasped confused. "Hours? What're you on about? You guys just left the room no more than fifteen minutes ago." He says, shocking me. The twins are jaw dropped. "B-But how?" I whisper, scared all over again. "Alright kids, what's going on?" Mom says, setting down her book. I'm so scared. Theo tries to explain everything but it doesn't make sense and of course they're confused and don't really believe them. "We aren't making it up! I swear!" Theo gasps, freaked out. He sits down. "If we told you something this farfetched would you believe me?" Dad asks, reminding me of when he tried to tell Theo about what happened with me. He shakily looked up at our dad. "I know it's hard to believe but it's real!" He gasps, desperate. "Now I see why it was so hard for you to believe us. It sounds outrageous." He looks at mom who looked a little  upset and shaky. "But we've been through our fair share of paranormal and bizarre." Dad continues, hugging mom. "If you say it happened, we believe you." Theo looked a little shocked but hugged our father who looked a little surprised by the gesture. "I'm sorry for not believing you dad... And for the... For everything. I'm sorry." "It's alright, Theodore." I'm glad my brother believes him. I'm just so glad to be back,  and away from that nightmare.
