Jason's pov

She's got about a month to live, I'm gonna make it the best month of her life. "Mike set up a tour. Tully get your damn hand checked out. We're going on tour."

Miranda's pov

Mom brought me a new outfit. "What's the occasion?" "It's a surprise." She says, helping me get dressed. Mike rolled a wheelchair into my room. I hate not knowing stuff. But it's a surprise. I don't wanna bug them by asking. Jason pulls up his truck. "Need a lift?" He asks, smiling. He takes my hand and helps me shakily into his truck. Mike puts the wheelchair in the truck and mom climbs up front. He waves. I wave back. "Where are we going?" "It's a surprise." I turn red and put my seatbelt on.

Jason's pov

Just by looking at her, you can easily see she's sick. Bad sick. I don't know how Sierra holds it together. "Mama, what if I throw up?" "Don't worry about it." I say.

Sierra's pov

I glance back at her nervously. When make a wish said they contacted him, I thought he would come visit for a day. I didn't know we were going to go to a concert too! I can tell she wants to know where we're going. We get on the highway. I can tell she's tired but she doesn't want to go to sleep. "Honey, we're gonna be on the road for a few hours. Might as well get some rest now." He says, glancing in the rearview mirror. "I don't wanna miss anything." He smiles. "The only thing you'd miss is a road, sweetheart." "Ok."

*30 minutes later*

Jason's pov

"Thank you." I glance over. "Don't thank me. Thank the power of music. It's brought so many people together and lifted peoples' spirits." She looks back. "Including my little girl. Believe it or not, before she got sick, singing was her dream. She had an angelic voice but the sickness has torn it up." Hm. "It's going to be a great night for her. For the first time in a long time, you're gonna see her cry in happiness instead of sadness."

Miranda's pov

I wake up, caught off guard in Jason's arms. I force myself to stay awake. "Where are we?" I mumble. He smiles and sets me down, holding his arm out which I shakily hold onto, my legs weak. I hear lots of noise. "What's-" Mike pulls a curtain back and I see a thousand faces. "We're gonna rock." "We?!" I choke out. He nods. "Don't worry. I've got your back." I'm scared. "I-I'm s-scared. W-What if.... I don't sound good?" He sets his cowboy hat on my head. Tears fill my eyes. The spotlight settled on us. I shielded my eyes from it, my hand shaking with nerves. There's so many people. "I-I don't th-think I can do this." I shakily say. The crowd starts to chant my name! "Wow!" He smiles. "I've got ya." Tully and Kurt walk over. "What are we playin'?" Wait... "You're asking me?" I gasp caught off guard. They nod, smiling. "What's the song, sweetheart?" I think about it and tell the guys. "I can almost see it, this dream I'm dreamin', there's a voice inside my head sayin' you'll never reach it. Every step I'm takin', every move I make feels.... Lost with no direction, my faith is shaking but, gotta keep tryin', gotta keep my head held high. There's always gonna be another mountain, I'm always gonna wanna make it move, always gonna be an uphill battle sometimes I'm gonna have to lose, ain't about how fast I get there, ain't about what's waitin' on the other side! It's the climb!"

Jason's pov

This song must be close to her heart. She grabs onto the mic stand, letting go of my arm. Sierra's crying softly sidestage. I wave her out. She walks over, wiping her eyes. "She's doing so well." I smile and nod, watching that poor girl sing her heart out. The fans loving it too.

Sierra's pov

She was laying down that night, exhausted but beyond happy, telling me everything. I smile and brush her hair back. "Mama, I haven't felt nauseous since I got out of his truck." "I'm so glad, baby girl." I kiss her goodnight and walk out. Jason smiled. I hugged him. "Thank you for everything. I haven't seen her that happy since before she got diagnosed ten months ago!" He holds my hand. "I'm happy to help and we're just gettin' started." I wonder what he has in mind. "I may not be a perfect guy but I am gonna make this a great month." I wipe a tear from my cheek. "Sierra I know it's been a long time since you've taken a break. Come on, it'd be my honor to take you out for the night and get your mind off this." "God bless you." I whisper in tears.

*a few days later*

Jason's pov

I met up with a few friends, bringing the girls with me. I kept Miranda blindfolded. Sierra pushed her wheelchair up the driveway. She doesn't know where we're at. The door opened and my best buddy and buck commander partner walks out.

Miranda's pov

Someone took off the blindfold and it was Jason. He helped me stand up and after that I saw LUKE BRYAN walking toward us. My jaw nearly hits the ground. "Luke!" I gasp, shakily. I start to lose my balance thank goodness for Jason holding me up. "Luke I love you!" I blurt out, instantly embarassing myself. I slap my forehead. "I'm sorry." I mumble. "Hey you don't have to apologize." He says, resting his hands on my shoulders. Tears come to my eyes.

Jason's pov

She gets tired easily so she was napping before we went home. "She was actually able to eat something today!" I hear Sierra gasp excited over the phone. "That poor kid is skin and bone." These last few days I've gotten extremely close to that poor dying girl. "Luke, she's... She's dying." "What you're doing, Jason, is absolutely amazing." "I feel so bad for her and Sierra. She's in so much pain and it's killing Sierra. That poor girl looks ten years older than she is.

Miranda's pov

I groggily wake up feeling nauseous again. I instantly grab a bucket, the IV pulling hard and bleeding. "Mommy!" I scream, my insides feel like they're eating each other. I grip my stomach. The door flies open and Jason runs in, wide eyed. He calls for my mom and sits beside me. "Sweetheart take a deep breath." He says. I can't! "It hurts." I whimper. "It hurts so badly." He holds my hand. Sierra stumbles in, a needle ready. She fixes my IV and injects the morphine. "I've gotta go get an IV bag of morphine from the hospital. I'll be back soon." He nods. I can barely stay awake. She runs out the door, fast as she can. Jason sits in a chair. "I'm dying... Aren't I?" I choke out.

Jason's pov

What do I tell her?! "Just rest princess." I say, biting my lip. Seconds later, she's asleep again. I can't leave her. I'm gonna wait til Sierra gets back.
