Chapter 55

Kim's pov

Theo was frustratedly walking up and down the hallways. We stayed put, too scared to go too far from the elevator. Suddenly a tall man wearing a fez walked by. He looked startled when he saw us. Theo walked back, staring at the guy confused. "There are more people here." He murmurs to himself, pulling out some kind of mechanical device. He clicks a button and it makes a weird sound. "How on earth did you get here?" He gapes. "A... An elevator." I shakily say, hugging my little sister. "How do we get back?" She whimpers at the strange man. A redheaded girl and a young man walk over. "Doctor how do we get out of here? Where did the tardis go?" "Not to worry, Ponds. Children show me this elevator." He said, smiling. We walk to it and he uses the device again. "What is that?" Miranda asks the strange man. "This my dear is a sonic screwdriver. It can do a number of things... Except anything on wood. Stupid wood!" This man is very strange. He opens the elevator doors. "How do we get home?" "How did this elevator bring you here in the first place?"

Miranda's pov

They go on talking. I glance at the doors. They're so bizarre. "Whatever you do, don't open any doors." The man says. "Who are you anyway?" Theo said, crossing his arms suspiciously. "You can call me the doctor!" He said cheerily. "Doctor who?" Kim asks. "Exactly!" He said pointing at her. He said not to open doors but then why do I want to. Kim grabbed my hand. "We had another person. But they died. Turns out there's a door specifically for everyone that contains your worst nightmare!" He said sending chills down my back. "Something is roaming these halls." "Kim!" I cry, scared. "Stop it! You're scaring her!" She says, hugging me. "Oi, I'm preparing you! Who knows what this creature wants." He says, walking down the corridor. I think I know what my worst nightmare would be. The other mother. Being trapped in that world forever with buttons on my eyes. I'm so scared just thinking about it. The doctor and Theo try to figure a way out. "It's got something do with that elevator." Theo says, pointing. "It's got to! It's how we got here!" "Amy Rory. You stay with the girls." He said pointing to us. "Doctor wait! Where are you going?" "We'll figure this out. We'll get y'all home!" Theo says, hugging me. Amy looks annoyed as they leave and slumps to the ground beside us. I nervously get up, feeling that tugging feeling. I've felt it since we came here. It's almost irresistible. I nervously stand up, looking at a door specifically. I think it's my door. I don't want to open it. I don't want to see that wicked witch again but it's almost like I have no control. "Miranda what're you doing?" Kim asks as I walk to the door. I can't respond. I. Must. Open. The. Door. Kim keeps calling me confused. "Stop her!" I hear Amy cry. I hear footsteps as I turn the knob and someone grabs me.

Kim's pov

The door opens revealing a hospital room, a hospital bed, and a girl that looked very sick. The look of pure terror and horror on my baby sister's face terrified me. I slammed the door shut and pulled her into my arms where she was screaming and crying. "What was that?!" I cry, confused. We don't know that girl. "That was her worst fear somehow!" Rory said confused. "Maybe she's afraid of hospitals?" She shakes her head shaking. "I'm..... I.... I died.... It... I.. That was me.... Before I became this me!" She gasps, looking completely shocked. "I thought it would be... But it wasn't. It was... When I had cancer." "Had cancer? What're you talking about?!" I gape. "Before you were born.... Be... Before... I c-came back." Came back?! I freeze up shocked. What mom and dad said was true? "So... You really did die and be reincarnated? Mom and dad weren't just talking nonsense?" She shakes her head, still crying hard. I pull her into a tight hug. "I forgot about most of it but... Now it's flooded back." She whimpered, clinging to me like a life raft in hurricane waters. I can't fucking believe it. Theo and the doctor get back. "The only reason you came here is because you, my dear, are a remarkable little girl." He said, confusing and worrying me. "There's something being drawn to you. The creature that roams these halls. Because you have a gift." We're all confused. "What're you talking about?" The doctor smiled excitedly. "You are a dormant timelord! You cheated death! You have to unlock your abilities and with me training you, you will! That's why you were brought same as me! I'm a timelord!" "What's a timelord?" I gape, holding my terrified sister tighter. "I'll have to explain it all later. Right now we have to get out of here. Someone opened their door." The little girl cowered, holding tighter to me. "I did." His face falls to one of fear. "We have to get out of here and fast." He said, super serious. His voice was dark and his face was determined. It only scared me more. What creature is coming after my sister?
