Jason's pov
I wake up, more tired than usual. I walk downstairs, drowsy. I think I'm finally over that stupid addiction. I haven't felt that rage in a couple days. "Hey Sierra?" I call, unsure where my wife is. The house is silent as a tomb. I'm so confused. I walk outside and see Sierra looking through a scrapbook, a few more laying beside the rocking chair she's in. And she was crying. I pull up the other rocking chair. "Oh hey." She mumbles. My poor girl. I hug her tight. "You alright, babe?" She nods. "Just been drifting down memory lane." I wish I was there her 17 years. Well this time I will be. "Where's the kids?" "Theo went out with some friends and Kim's at Mrs. Nedsten's house." "Man she's determined to get a phone." My loving wife smiles. "Actually she said she doesn't care about a phone anymore and said she isn't accepting money from her." I smile. Wow. "I'm so proud of her." Sierra rests a hand on her stomach. She smiles. "Aw I remember this." She says pointing to a picture. "Let's go inside and you can tell me all about it."
Sierra's pov
We sit on the couch and I show him the picture. "She was learning to ride her bike. I was really nervous cause I wanted to keep her safe but she was determined." "How old was she?" "Seven. It was right after the custody battle with her deadbeat dad. She wanted to prove she was strong. Even though I always knew she was."
~flashback~
After a few hours, she was able to ride like a pro. "Yay! You're doing it!" I shout smiling proudly. She brakes in front of me and jumps off the bike into my arms. "See mama we don't need him. I'll take care of you." I cried alot during and after. "Oh baby!" I gasp, bending on my knees and holding her tight.
~flashback over~
"Aw Sierra that's an amazing story." Jason whispers, kissing my head. I smile. "Hey what about the time she went to Disneyworld for the first time at 5 years old." He laughs softly. "Tell me."
~flashback~
"Stay with me!" I say, holding her hand. "Splash mountain mama!" She cries pointing and pulling me. I smile. "I love you." I say as we get in line. "I love you too." We share a hug. After splash mountain, we went to meet some Disney characters but she was scared of them. "Mommy they're big and scary." She whimpers, holding onto my leg. "I know you can do it angel." She gets a picture with Minnie Mouse. "Look at you, so brave." I say smiling. She smiles. "Thanks mama."
~flashback over~
"Wow. God I wish I coulda been there with her growing up." I close my eyes, tearfully. He hugs me. "You would've loved her." "Baby girl, you know I do." I blush. "That's not what I meant." He smiles and kisses me, resting his hand on my stomach. "I love you forever, Sierra." "I love you too, Jason."
*A few years later*
Our perfect angel is fantastic. Since it was my.... Our daughter come back, we named her Miranda. My parents were a little annoyed. Especially since they didn't believe me about reincarnation. I shrug and pick up my three year old as Jason gets home with our twins. Kim was at a friend's house and Theo had baseball practice. "How's my angels?" He asks, walking over and hugging us. I smile and hand her to him. "Hey, daddy's girl." He says making me smile. "I wonder if that's part of the old Miranda." I whisper, kissing him. He stares at me surprised.

She's right. After we met, we were pretty inseparable. "I was about to put her down for a nap. Maybe you can do it." I smile. "I'd be happy to." I take her upstairs to her room. "Daddy." She says pointing to the walls where I have pictures of some famous musicians. "It's Luke." I smile and nod. "Sweet Uncle Luke. He likes to spoil you." I set her down in her bed. "I'm not tired." She says fussy and getting off the bed. "But baby, you've been up all day!" She walks over to her desk and pulls out a drawing. "What's that?" She hands it to me and I see a house and a guy in the doorway and a.... A girl.... In a wheelchair with a man and woman behind it. My chest gets tight, knowing this scene. "Y-You drew.... Mrs. Michelle?" "No. Me, daddy." Wow. She has some memories. "Me ad Uncle Luke and you and mommy." Wow. I hug her tight. "You're such an amazing little girl, Miranda." I whisper, happily. I take her back to her bed. "Now it's time to take a nap." She starts to whine but I sing her a few songs and she slowly falls asleep. I walk back out, picture in hand and give it to Sierra. She stares at it shocked. "She remembers." She whispers looking up at me. I nod. "She told me some people remember some stuff. I'm glad she remembers." "Me too. It's just.... I don't know." I hug her. "Hey dad, I'm going to Mrs. Nedsten's house." Kim says. "Tell her I said hey." "Will do." I smile.
*20 minutes later*
I rush downstairs when the door slams open and Kim runs in crying her eyes out. "Kimmy what's wrong?" I gasp worried. "Ally.... She.... She's D-Dead!" She screams. Oh man. I call an ambulance to her house. Sierra and I try to calm Kim down. She was hyperventilating and crying her eyes out. They had become quite close. Even Theo was being nice. When usually they're butting heads. Suddenly I hear Miranda cry upstairs. "I'll get her." Theo says. "It's gonna be okay. You made her last years some of the best." "Just like Johnny." I hear our three year old say. "What's she talking about?" Theo asks, while holding her. I stare at her shocked. "Nothin'." I say, scooping her into my arms. I know exactly what she meant. She told me Johnny told her that right before she died. You made my last day one of the best. It sends chills down my spine. We finally get Kim calmed down. We'll definitely be going to her funeral. I feel so bad for Kim. "She's with her husband." Sierra says. "There's so many things I'm gonna miss, that happy smile and that great laugh of hers. And all her amazing stories." I hug my daughter rushing I could do more. But death is a part of life. And something we just can't understand. Some are taken too early. Some live longer than expected. And well.... Some come home.... Like my little girl did.
