Sierra's pov

I stare at the bathroom sink in shock. "Positive." I whisper shocked. I pocket the pregnancy test and walk out of our room. Jason had his pants leg rolled up and was rubbing his sore leg. "You alright?" He nods. "It just hurts a little when I put weight on it." "Well me and the kids are heading out to get a dog." I say picking up my purse. "I'm heading to the pharmacy for more pain pills." He says. "Careful, Jason. Ya don't want to get addicted." "Aw I'm fine babe. You worry too much." I smile and we share a kiss then I head with the kids to the animal adoption center. "Pick one dog, guys." I say sitting down. "And you have to agree." After they go looking, I grab the pregnancy test, nervous. What's he gonna think about me being pregnant again!?

Jason's pov

"What do ya mean I've got no refills on my pain meds. I can barely walk on this stupid bum leg!!" I shout frustrated. "I'm sorry sir you have to go to the doctor and get your prescription refilled." This is infuriating!! "You're just tryin' to get more money outta me!" "I don't make the rules, I follow them!" God damn him. Now I gotta go back to the stupid doctor's. I'm downright pissed. I rub my sore leg and go to my truck pissed off. "Stupid pharmacy." I mutter annoyed, pulling out my pack of smokes and lighting one up.

*A few hours later*

Finally I get the pain pills. This whole day has been bad. Hopefully when the kids get home, it'll get better. I pop a couple pills and open a beer, then go to work watching the latest Dawgs game.

*Later*

Sierra's pov

I get a call from the doctor after leaving the pet shop. We weren't very successful so we'll try another place tomorrow. "What's up?" I ask surprised. "Mrs. Aldean, your husband picked up a prescription for his pain pills today. You know about that right?" "Yeah. He said his leg was still bugging him." I say, leaning against my car. The kids have already buckled up. "The weird thing is his leg should have been healed up by now. I checked over it with some scans and there's no more tears or damage. So why did he need the pain pills?" What the? "How should I know. He said his leg was hurting. You're the damn doctor!" "Ma'am I think he's addicted to the pain pills." I roll my eyes. "No he's not. My husband is a responsible sensible man. There is no way he's addicted." I hang up annoyed and drive home. "Hey Jason, we're home." "Any luck?" I shake my head. "We'll try the one across town tomorrow. How's your leg?" "Burns like a motherfucker." He mutters. "Head up to bed guys." I sit beside him as Kim and Theo go upstairs. "You alright?" He nods. "Just in a bad mood dealing with the stupid pharmacy trying to weasel more money outta me." "Man that's what I hate about businesses. All they care about is money." I say sighing. He nods. "Yep I hate it."

*Early the next day*

I wake up to a pain filled shout. Jason was on his hands and knees beside the bed. "What happened?! What's wrong?!" I cry getting up and running over, his face drenched in sweat. "My p-pills! I need my pain pills. Aahhhh my leg!!" "Where are they?!" I cry panicked and worried. "Coffee table hurry!" I run downstairs as fast as I possibly can and grab the bottle. I grab him a glass of water and get upstairs. "Here Jason!" I help him sit up. He takes a few deep breaths before taking a couple pills. I help him sit on the bed, my mind drifting to the test I took the other day. What would be the best way to tell him. "You alright now?" "Once the damn pills kick in, I will be." He says, looking ticked. "I'll go start on breakfast." I say standing up worried. While I was downstairs, my phone rang. The doctor. Again. Ugh. I reluctantly answer it. "Look, someone who is addicted to pills will still hurt without them. That's why he's still hurting. He might not even know he's addicted but I strongly believe he is! You need to both come to my office." I roll my eyes annoyed. Jason's not addicted. "No thank you. My husband isn't stupid enough to get addicted to pain pills. You just wanna get more money out of us!" I gripe, getting a pan out to make grilled cheese. "Has he been mad more than usual. Gone into episodes of intense rage?" "No." I say. "Has he been in intolerable pain when he hasn't taken them for more than four hours." Just now. I glance up the stairs worried. "No." He sighs. "Sierra this is a very serious matter. He can easily end up overdosing on these pills." "Who are you talking to?" I jump hearing Jason's voice. I turn around. "Nobody just this stupid doctor thinks you're addicted to pain pills. I know you're not." His eyes go wide. "Stupid doctor." He mutters walking over and taking the phone. "Leave my wife alone asshole. I ain't lettin' y'all bullshit me or her into wasting more money. Just drop dead!" He shouts loudly then hits end. I'm definitely caught off guard. He's breathing heavily and his face is red with anger. "J-Jason... A-Are you okay?" He glares at the ground and nods. "Aren't you gonna make breakfast?" He mutters glaring at me. I shakily go to the fridge and get the ingredients out worried. What if the doctor was right? I hear him shout for the kids to get up for breakfast. I start making grilled cheese, worried out of my mind.
