Jason's pov
We had just gotten back to our hotel from a concert. "It's definitely summer." I say, wiping the sweat off my face. "I'm gonna jump in the shower babe." "OK, I'm gonna see if we've got Lifetime movie network on the TV." Sierra says, sitting on the bed with the remote. I shan my head with a smile while leaning on the doorway. "You gonna make me watch some sappy lovey dovey movie huh?" She laughs softly and turns the TV on. I jump in a quick shower, kinda tired. When I get Out, I wrap the towel around my waist but it falls in surprise when I'm startled by writing in the foggy mirror. It says, "Rocking the baby." What the hell?! "Sierra!" I gasp, walking into our room. "Jeez Jason, where's your towel?" My face gets red. "I forgot it fell." I mumble embarrassed. "Come see this." I say waving to her. We go to the bathroom but the message is gone! "What's wrong?" I stare at the now completely fogged up mirror, baffled. "I... I... Nothing. I must be imagining things." I lie. I know what I saw and I know it was there. I get dressed and wipe the foggy mirror but seconds later it fogs up again for no reason. "Dammit the reception here sucks." Sierra says, annoyed. I look out the bathroom door again where the TV is fuzzy. I walk over and tap it, trying to get it to work. "Stupid TV." She mutters, pulling out her phone. "Ya wanna just go back to the bus. The TV works in there." "I don't feel like getting up." She says, curling under the blankets with her phone. "Jason, come look at this." I flip the sucky TV off and sit beside her. "What the heck?" I gape. She was on Instagram and there were pictures of me onstage at the show. She scrolled through a few and there was that same sized and shaped white glare in every picture, right beside me. "Weird." I say. "Must be lights or something." Sierra looks shaken. "Baby?" "I'm... I'm just... I've got a weird feeling." "Baby it's probably nothing." I say taking her phone. "Let's just get some sleep, girl." I say, making her lay down.
*the next day*
Sierra's pov
When I woke up, Jason wasn't in bed. I wonder where he went. Maybe I should tell him about the weird occurrence at the cemetery. I sigh, struggling internally with myself as I walk outside for some fresh air. I saw Jason walk off the bus with a few sheets of paper in his hands. "What's up?" I ask, blocking the sun from my eyes. "Nothing. Just some work related crud." He says rolling them up and putting them in his back pocket. "Wanna go somewhere for breakfast?" He asks, gently touching my cheek and brushing hair behind my ear. I smile at him. "I don't care where we go. Just so long as I'm with you." He smiles. "I love you Si."
Jason's pov
*a few hours later at the show*
I had just finished singing Night Train when the stage got misty and I couldn't see that well. "Kill the fog machine guys jeez!" I say squinting through the haze. I try to waft it away and it forms into a small solid mass. "What the?" I gape staring at it confused. Suddenly to my shock, the mass turns into a person. But not just any person, my daughter. And she's holding a baby. She smiles. "Hi dad!" I'm speechless. I look out at the silent crowd but they're gone. We're alone on this stage. "What's.... What's going on?" She holds the baby out to me. "Who's...." But I can't formulate words. I hold the baby. "Mom's gonna be okay dad." She says, smiling and waving. "Wait!" I gasp worried. She turns back around, a big smile on her face. She brushes long brown hair out of her face. "Are you.... Doing okay, baby girl?" She smiles even bigger. "I'm perfect, daddy." She whispers then slowly vanishes from sight and the roaring crowd comes back to me. I am so shaken up, I can't even think. Tully gives me a look. "You okay, bro?" "I... I..." But I can't think of anything to say. The crowd gets confused and I shakily grip the mic. I find Sierra in the crowd, looking at me worried. "I... Uh sorry about that guys, Got a little lightheaded." I lie, beyond shaken. "Let's kick it up a notch boys." I force myself to get back into the show. "Let's crank this shit up!"
*later*
I watch Sierra sleep. Who's baby was that? What happened onstage? So much questions I don't know the answer to. I lay down beside her, star I at her worried. Tonight has me really freaked out.
