Jason's pov
We were in LA for a concert and Michelle was onstage. I was watching her from backstage. She's unbelievable. Kim walked out of my dressing room with a Coke. "Where's Theo?" "How the heck should I know?" She says rolling her eyes. "Why do you two hate each other so much?" I say trying not to laugh. "Cause he's a butthead!" She says, crossing her arms, spilling her coke. I laugh. "God you are definitely my kid." I say shaking my head. Sierra walked over. "What's so funny?" "Oh nothing." I say grabbing her around the waist. She laughs. "What're you doing?" "This." I say kissing her. I was listening to Michelle onstage again. "Hey there Mr. Tinman!" "I am so tired." Sierra says laying her head on my shoulder. I laugh softly. "Why don't you take a nap on the bus? And find out wherever Theo went." She laughs. "Jase did you lose our son?" I glare at her. "ME?!" She laughs hysterically. I roll my eyes. "You're not funny." She shrugs. "Folks think I'm a riot." She jokes. "Come on Kimmy let's go find your brother." I smile and shake my head as they walk away. "Goof." Michelle was about to close her set when the ground started to shake. I try to steady myself. "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!" I shout to a stagehand or someone! "A slight earthquake." A guy says. "You okay?" I nod. "An earthquake." I whisper caught off guard. I glance to Michelle onstage. She was frozen. "You okay?" I call running to the edge of backstage. She looks up and nods, shaken. "Th-That scared me." She says, putting her hands on the wheels of her wheelchair. I walk out there. "It was only a minor earthquake. Everything is fine." The stagehand says. "Low magnitude?" Another guy asks. The first guy nods. Michelle was about to wheel herself off the stage when another, much harder, earthquake hit! This one lasted almost 30 seconds and it knocked her wheelchair over! I quickly run to help her up. The stage was slightly tilted. "Come on. We gotta get off the stage." I say, pushing her wheelchair. She was crying. "Are you hurt?" "N-No. Just scared." I've never been in an earthquake before. Another one hits even harder than before, throwing me off my feet. "Jason!" Michelle cries. "Are you okay?" I nod. I walk back to the stage entrance where the venue owners were announcing that everyone needed to leave the area. Mike ran over. "We've gotta get outta here. They're predicting more earthquakes, stronger ones!" He says. "Wait! My mom and dad!" Michelle gasps. "It's okay. They're back at the bus." Mike says running over to her. "Jason we've gotta get outta here." I look around for the guys in my band. "Where'd they go?" "They're already headed to the bus." I call Sierra. "Is Theo at the bus?" "No. I thought he was with you!" My eyes go wide. "Man, we can't leave!" "What?! Why?!" He shouts. "I gotta find my son!" "What?!" Another earthquake hits! "Mike get Michelle to the bus! I'll meet up with you when I find Theo!" I run away from them calling for my boy. "Theo!! We've gotta get outta here!" I'm thrown off my feet as another earthquake hits. Part of the ceiling crashes down beside me. "THEO?!" I shout, panicked. Where is he?! Something bangs on a door blocked by debris! I shove it out of the way and open the door to find my 10 year old with a walkie talkie! "Theo! Thank God!" I gasp hugging him. He was crying. "What's going on?" "An earthquake." I help him stand up. "You're not hurt are you?" "I'm f-fine." He whimpers wiping the tears from his face. "It's gonna be okay son." I say holding his hand. I freeze. "Who were you talking to?" I ask pointing to the walkie talkie. "L-Levi." He says. "Do you know where he is?" He shakes his head. "Levi? Where are you?" He asks into the thing. "I... I.. The bathroom but I can't get out. It's really dark!" Shit. "Theo we've gotta go get Levi." "I'm scared." Levi says over the walkie. Just then Kurt and his wife KellyJean ran backstage. "I heard Levi's voice. Do you know where he is!" He gasps panicked. "He said the bathroom. Let's go!" We all rush to the bathroom. The door was completely blocked. "Help me!" I heard Levi shout in fear. "We're coming!" Kurt says, pulling at debris. Me and Theo do the same. Then another one hits. "SHIT!" I shout shoving Kurt out of the way as a piece of the roof falls down. I roll out of the way in time. But then a steel girder falls on my leg, making me scream in pain. "Levi!" Kurt gasps against the cement that's still blocking the door. "Dad!?" He cries, his voice shaking. KellyJean helps me stand back up. "What do we do?!" She cries terrified. How are we gonna get passed that cement!!? Kurt was pounding on it with his fists, crying and whimpering his son's name. "Kelly take Theo back to the bus and get Mike. Tell him I need my hunting rifle! It's in my closet!" I say, holding pressure to the bloody gash in my leg. "Dad!" Theo whimpers terrified, seeing the blood. "Go with Kelly son. Go get to your mama." I say, leaning on the wall. "You okay?" Theo asks worried. "I'm fine. Just go." I say, pointing. They leave. "Gimme a hand here man!" Kurt cries. "Mike's gonna get my rifle. I'll shoot through it." "We don't have the time!!" He shouts panicked. "We can't get through it barehanded Kurt!" I say. "Come on! Come on!" He shouts, banging on it again, desperate. Another really hard earthquake hits us. "Come on Mike. Where are ya?!" I gasp frustrated. Just then he runs through the smoky atmosphere with my gun. "Shit! Your leg!" He helps me stand up and I cock the rifle. "LEVI GET AWAY FROM THE DOOR!" I shout, leaning on Mike. Kurt moves and I fire. I cock it again and fire again. This time it crumbles enough to get through and Levi runs out into his father's arms. "Let's go. The news report says this half of the San Andreas line is gonna sink into the ocean." Mike says. My leg is still gushing blood. We get back to the bus as fast as I can go then I collapse exhausted to the couch, pain searing up and down my leg. Sierra runs over. "What happened?!" "Part of the ceiling." I say through clenched teeth. She rolls up my pants leg. "Oh shit! Someone get me a first aid kit." Sierra shouts. I'm really light-headed and the rocking of the bus isn't helping. I look out the window at the cracked sidewalks and broken buildings. "I h-hope my fans got out okay." I say worried. Sierra ties something around my leg, making me cry out in pain and grit my teeth. "Ow! Shit!!" I grip the couch, my hands shaking from the pain. "Is everyone on the bus? Are they okay?" I ask worried. "Yeah. Everyone is on here." Mike says. I am so tired. I lay down on the couch. "Don't go to sleep, Jason. You've lost alot of blood." Sierra says shaking me slightly. "I'm... Not... I'm.. just resting... My eyes." I whisper tiredly. "Jason! Jason!" She was shaking me but I was too tired to stay awake.
