"You are being annoying"

Our sister is at her stage of development where she wants to play a lot and she gets quite loud when excited or overjoyed.

My mother despises loud noises.
She says they are a nuisance.
She gets annoyed very easily and snaps when you are not doing what you are told.

So usually we try to play less with our sister or none at all, which is confusing sometimes because when we don't, mother would say—

"just do whatever she wants to keep her quiet"

But when we do and our sister gets too loud, she would make us stop at once.

Our sister badly wanted to play hide and seek one time and my mother was occupied with something.
We tried to limit playing with her so she started wailing.

Mother got sick of it so she came and took her away to isolate her in their bedroom.
We heard yelling
And hitting.

"You can't always have it your way"
"Why are you so persistent?!"

All she wanted was to play.

She is not allowed to act her age because our mother thinks it's a disturbance.

She is only three.
