"What is happiness?" I thought out loud.
We sat there gazing at the stars and she looks up pondering.
I turn to her, observing her face - her eyes glossed over and I could see the night sky in them.
"Happiness is like catching a falling star from the sky with your hands, then feeling it's golden glow emit a comforting warmth," she responds.
She shifts, her chin now resting on her knees as she turns to look at me.
Her words didn't struck me at first because I was too distracted by her lovely smile; until I realised, she too, was staring right back at me - staring deep into my soul.
My cheeks slowly began to flush, turning red like the wildflowers surrounding us.
"What a lovely way to put it," i respond back; shyly looking down to my hands to hide my flustered face.
