Chapter 4

Naruto's POV

I sighed looking at my friends. They looked back at me worriedly. Okay it's the moment of truth. I took a deep breath and exhaled softly.

"My relationship with Sasuke is not going well and it hasn't been for months now. He has been cold to me lately and not acknowledging me. He's been working out late a lot lately," I started looking at both of them.

"What do you mean Naruto?," Hinata asked slightly confused.

"What I'm trying to say is that, Sasuke has been working long hours at work, having extended business trips and he keeps getting phone calls late at night. It has been months since we last made love, he hasn't been touching me, not once. Even in bed we don't cuddle anymore," I said looking at both of them.

They both frowned deeply at that. I know what I said is totally suspicious and a real concern, and I know that they could see it too.

"So wait a minute, Sasuke has been acting weird for these past few months and there is a lot of suspicious behavior happening from his part," Ino said and I nodded. She frowned and I know she's not liking what I've just told them.

"So you Naruto say he has been taking longer shifts at work, having extended business trips, having late night calls and acting cold towards you," Hinata summed it up trying to piece everything together and I nodded.

"Oh Naruto, don't you think that maybe Sasuke is…," Ino started but trailed off. I sighed and I nodded.

"Yes, I have thought about that Ino, but I just don't want to believe it. Just the thought of it just makes me want to…," I didn't finish my sentence because I could feel on coming tears and I don't want to cry in front of strangers and in front my two best friends.

"What are you going to do know Naruto?, You said it yourself this, had been going on for months now," Hinata said holding onto my hand.

"Nothing for now, I'm just going to have faith in him and just see if he's going change. But if this keeps on going, then I'll just have no choice but to break things off. I just don't see myself living life like this," I said looking at them.

"You know my fiancé Kiba works there at his father's Company. If you like, I could ask Kiba to watch for any suspicious behavior from Sasuke. Maybe we can find the source of his actions towards you," Hinata said trying to help.

"No Hinata it's okay, I don't want to involve you guys into my problems. All I need from you guys is your love and support. I trust you guys have my back?," I asked smiling at them.

"Of course Naruto, you don't even have to ask," Ino said with a smile. I smiled back. We finished up with our pedicures and got up from our comfortable chairs. We were led towards the next room where we will have our massages.

We relaxed and just enjoyed our time together. We talked about other things that made us laugh and gave us satisfaction. We talked about the new trends, the new fashion and the new music. You know, the usual things that friends talk about.

When we are done with our massages we went out to have our lunch because we were starving. We went to a nearby restaurant and ordered food and drinks. So yeah we continued to hang out as friends and tried to not talk about stressful things.

And as the day wore off I was in a good mood. My friends really helped me forget about the stress and the unhappiness I was feeling in my relationship. Right now as I'm driving back towards the mansion, I was feeling a lot happy and better.

I drove down the long driveway and parked my car next to Sasuke's black Mercedes Benz. I was so surprised to see it. It was currently 19:46pm, it was really early. I got out my car and walked towards the large oak door and pushed it open.

I walked through the lobby and towards the living room to find him sitting on the couch watching TV. He was in his black sweat shirt and grey track pants. I stopped at the entrance of the living room really surprised to find him there.

He looks up towards me with his usual stone cold eyes. I smiled slightly at him walking inside the spacious living room.

"Good evening Sasuke, what brings you home so early?," I asked happy that he finally came home from work early.

"What?, Am I not allowed to come back early to my own house?," He asked harshly frowning slightly at me. That really stung, I thought that Sasuke viewed this house as our home. But what can I say, a lot of things are changing in our relationship.

"No no no, that's not what I meant Sasuke. It's just that, since you said that you will be working out late again tonight, I got a little surprised to find you home this early," I said quickly playing with my fingers.

"Anyway, Itachi is coming over and I want you to go upstairs and look presentable. I'll order food or something," he said taking out his phone.

"No that's okay, I'll make something to eat. I know that Itachi-nii loves homemade food, so I'll just wipe up his favorite dish quickly," I said with a smile. At that moment I saw something flash within his eyes and he frowned down at me.

"Whatever, just get ready," he ordered walking away from me. I looked after him and sighed gently.

I just hope everything goes well tonight.
