This is Gina and Ricky's friendship after spring break when Nini and him broke up.

Monday
"Hey, Gi."

"Hi, Ricky." She looked up from her phone where she was texting her mom.

"How are you? Get any chocolate over spring break?"

"I'm good, and no. I was kind of stuck starving at the airport, actually."

"Oh, that sucks. If I wasn't with my mom, I would've come to your rescue."

"Yeah, okay. EJ came, so I'm okay."

"Cool. Are you two like a thing or..?"

"No. We're just friends. I've been wrong many times about people so I'm putting the romance department in the back of my mind."

"I see. Is something wrong?"

"No, why would it be?"

"Like, did I do something?"

"No. That's the problem."

"Why would I want to do something to hurt you?"

"You did hurt me, Ricky Bowen, don't you get that?" She whisper screamed through gritted teeth. She took a deep breath then. "Sometimes, not doing something hurts people. And that's how you hurt me."

"What didn't I do Gina? I want to be the person who makes you laugh again. Not who makes you cry?" He said as she tears up. 

"It's too late for that. You were my first person here. But then my heart got broken. Thanks to you."
