Two years ago, I was standing and looking at myself in the mirror. I was doing my best to convince myself that everything would be fine. Wishing that day, would be the start of my happily ever after.
I was wearing a white chiffon dress and a pair of peach stilettos. And there he was, wearing a three-piece suit. It was not every girls' dream to be married in civil ceremony. But I never argued, because it was not about the ceremony. It was beyond happiness, knowing that I would wear his last name and I would be his forever property.
It was two years ago, but everything had changed. I never thought that this day would come. That one dream I have... To walk down the aisle will finally come through.
Eh? Naiyak talaga?
"H'wag ka ngang magdrama! Ikakasal ako, hindi ako ililibing!"
"Masaya lang ako. These are tears of joy," she said.
Like it was a cue, I hugged her tight. "Thank you. Thank you for staying by my side," I started. "I don't know what I have done, for God to give me such people like you."
I was seriously wondering why I got Jess. I mean... I am no angel. I am bitchy sometime. But she still manage to stay with me.
"You had done too much, Taliyah. Now, it's time for you to be happy," she said while rubbing my back. "We're all happy and we can't wait to see you walking down the aisle." Me either, I can't wait to see him at the altar.
"Kuya Cley is surely happy to see you wearing that gown," she commented as I took another look at the mirror.
"Do you think so?" I asked hesitantly. I was not sure if this was kuya's wish for me.
"Of course! Nothing would make kuya Cley happy than seeing his princess smiling from ear-to-ear," she replied. "Hey! Don't worry, everything will be fine," she comforted because I'm in the verge of crying.
I don't know why I feel like this, but I am being emotinal when it comes to kuya and Tyler. They are the greatest man in my heart. The first one who taught me everything about life. And the other one who will be my everything.
Finally, I am here inside the bridal car waiting for a go-signal. Guests and sponsors are everywhere. Taking pictures and chatting endlessly. They are all busy when the wedding organizer calls their attention. I think, they are more than a hundred. Some of them are business partners and others are friends.
Later on, the entourage started. I felt more nervous, yet this was my second time marrying the same man. But heck! This was all different.
I still couldn't believe that after all we came through, we're still together. I know God is on my side. And the best way to give Him thanks, is to bond our marriage with His permission.
I was back to reality when a lady knocked on the side window, signing that it was my turned. I took a deep breath before I opened the door. And the lady handed me her help.
