Healing

I hated to admit that Simon's presence gave me so much peace.
But I was so confused.
All he said and how he acted before had hurt me so much.
And all of the sudden he wanted me?
I couldn't just forget everything.
I wanted to wait and see how everything went.
But he was right.
We had to push all of this aside.
Right now was not the time for that.

As I woke up in the morning I was cold.
I opened my eyes.
He wasn't there.

I looked around, it almost made me sad.
But I hoped he went and got some sleep.
He always acted to tough but even he needed sleep.
But my hopes were turned down quickly as the door opened and he came in with a big tablet with all sorts of breakfast.

It was really too much.
No human could eat all of this.
I tried to sit up but grunted.
My casted leg wasn't a problem, but the stinging pain in my lower stomach.
It wasn't that bad.
I had have more painful period cramps to be honest, but it made moving really difficult.
Simon set down the tablet and hurried over to me.

„Easy love. Not so quick"

he placed a hand on my back and held me steady as I sat up.

„Thank you."

I shifted slightly to sit in a position nothing would hurt.

„And what's with the ‚love' thing. That's new"

I grinned at him as I saw his cheeks get slightly red under his mask.

„Oh nothing I'm sorry I can quit that"

he quickly avoided any eye contact.
It was kind of cute seeing him getting flustered like that.

It was really like he was replaced.
I always knew he could be really caring for his team. He actually always were a funny and sometimes even silly guy.
Just only to the team.
No one else knew him like that.
But seeing him this nervous and flustered was even new to me.

„It's alright. I like it"

I smiled sweet, followed by an awkward silence.

„Ehm who the hell is supposed to eat all of that?"

I asked curious.

„I didn't quite knew what you would like so I got everything. You need to eat."

he placed the tablet on my legs.

„Im gonna get even fatter when you feed me like that"

I laughed slightly.
His face went serious in seconds.

„You're not fat. Don't say that. Never."

I couldn't even say anything.
I only smiled and nodded.

„I got you your mask in case you wanna wear it"

he mumbled and placed my mask on the bedside table.

„Thank you. That's very kind.
But Simon?
Why aren't you wearing your mask?
I wanted to ask you earlier but I had no chance to"

I didn't took my mask.
I knew Vanessa wouldn't let anybody in here that wasn't supposed to be here.
So there was no need for the mask.

„Uhm. I don't know.
I only thought about you.
And I wanted you to feel comfortable and be there for you.
As Simon.
Not as Ghost"

he still avoided eye contact.
I said nothing but I had to smile bright.
That was one of the nicest things he had ever done for me.
We hadn't much time to talk about it more because shortly after that it knocked on the door.
