I was so relieved that we finally talked.
This time with him felt some kind of different.
We weren't at work, or with the team, or in any other situation.
We weren't ghost and siren.

We were Simon and Liz right now.

We hadn't much time to talk more because Gerome came quickly with our food.
The dinner was peaceful.
It felt like something I really needed.

Beeing able to be myself, to feel safe, to not hold back any emotions.
We talked a lot this dinner.
We laughed a lot.

I loved how hilarious he could be.
It was such a contrast to what he used to be at the base.
I was so glad that he opened up to me like that.
I really had the feeling that I could comfort him.

We sat there and talked a long time even after dinner. After a very funny story about how soap once pranked price Simon excused himself for a moment.
He came back with my coat.

„Alright wanna head back?"

I was slightly sad.
I didn't wanted this to end.
But it was getting really late.
He helped me into my coat.

After a long and loving goodbye from Gerome and his wife we walked back to his car.
He offered me his arm and I gladly grabbed it.
We walked back very close.
The night sky was very clear and absolutely beautiful.
He held the car door open for me.

I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot.

On the drive home I couldn't stop staring at him.
I could feel how more comfortable and confident he got around me with every second.
After some time he layed his hand on my thigh while he was driving.
I layed my hand over his and played with his rings.

He drove in silence.
But no awkward silence.
It was a comfortable silence.
As he parked at the base I sighed.

„What's wrong beautiful?"

He asked looking at me.

„I don't want to go in. This means the date ends now"

I said sad.
He smiled sweet and looked at his clock.

„Well we could have a late night walk around the base if you like"

He gently stroked my hand.
I could tell he felt the same way as me.
He didn't wanted to end this.
Not now.
I nodded smiling.

He got out and helped me out the car.
Before I could do something he pulled me into a tight hug.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him back.

„You're perfect. You know that right?"

He whispered softly.

„I'm far from perfect. But if it's enough for you that's all I need"

I laughed slightly.

„No. In my eyes you're more than perfect. You're all I ever dreamed of"

his voice was thick with emotions.
His words made my heart burn.

He was looking down at me.
Our faces just inches away from each other.
I could almost feel his warm breath on my face.

The eye contact was heavy.
The tension palpable.
My heart was pounding.
My head racing with a million thoughts.

Without a word his one hand grabbed my back tighter, pulling me even closer.
His other hand wandered up and gently held the back of my neck.
He leaned in and kissed me.

I froze, but quickly relaxed.
My head went silent.

His hot lips on mine felt like burning.
He held me pressed against him deepening the kiss.
A wave of emotions washed over me.
This was even better than I thought.
His hand cupped now my face.
He licked over my bottom lip, his tongue finding its way into my mouth.
We stood there making out for like an eternity.
