It was hard for him to adjust in a relationship.
It was not new for him.
He had relationships before.

But he had always messed up terribly because he just didn't knew how to act properly.
He wasn't someone to give big words.

He loved her.
He really did.

But how was he supposed to put this in words?
That's why he was so lucky to have her.
She understood this.
Everytime he stuttered some words out to express something she stopped him.

„I don't need these big words"

She always whispered and hugged him.

He did everything he could to show her how much she meant to him.
He was nervous.
So incredibly nervous.
He hadn't been in his flat in Manchester for a while now.

And he certainly never had invited someone there.
He was pretty sure the others didn't even knew he had that flat.
The closer the day came when they would leave the more nervous he got.

Liz didn't seemed to be bothered at all.
The whole flight she was sleeping like a baby.
She looked so peaceful when she slept.
He loved it.

„I've actually never been to England"

Liz said with big eyes as Simon was packing their things into the rented car.

„Well now you are."

He was still way to nervous.
Spending so much time alone with her.
He had to do everything to not fuck up.

„Come on love."

he held the car door open and watched her jump into the jeep.
The whole drive he was silent.
He let her talk and talk.
She seemed pretty excited.

„Oh look sheep"

She was practically glued to the car window.
It was adorable.

„Its so beautiful here"

she said amazed.

He had to smile.
He was kind of relieved that she liked it.
He was happy being back here but it also made him slightly uncomfortable.
The memories he connected to this place weren't always happy.

As soon as they arrived she hopped out of the car.
He had to laugh about her enthusiasm.
He had to practically threaten her so she would let go of the bags.
He wouldn't let her carry anything.

He opened the door to his flat.
It was dark in there.
He hadn't been here for a long time.
It was dusty.
It looked like no one had ever lived here.
He never had made the effort to make it a home.
He didn't even knew why he had this place.

He turned on the light.

After a little entrance followed on the left a small open kitchen, behind that directly the living room.
A couch, a table and a tv.
To the right a little balcony.
To the left a little corridor where the bedroom and the bathroom were.

Liz stood next to the kitchen inspecting the little space.

„Simon? For how long have you not been here?"

„uhm I don't know actually"

„You ever properly lived here?"

„Not really. I spend some time here after I had to heal from a injury but after that not really"

She turned around and looked at him.
Her face was something between pitty and worry.
But then she smiled.

„Well then we have a lot of work to do"

He looked confused.

„What do you mean?"

„You want this to stay like this? No no. We make this a home. And first of all we have to clean!"

Her enthusiasm eased his mind.
She wouldn't judge him.
Not her.
He placed the luggage on the couch and went over to her.
He pulled her into a tight hug.

„Thank you"

She wrapped her arms around him.

„Don't. You're not alone anymore Simon"

He looked at her.
Her beautiful face.
Her beautiful smile.
He still couldn't believe this was real.
That she chose him.

She grinned and looked around.

„So do you have cleaning stuff here? I can't sleep here when it's so dusty. This flat needs deep cleaning."

He chuckled softly.

„Yeah I should have some stuff somewhere in the kitchen."

She let go of him and searched the cupboards.

„Ok so let's make a plan.
I start cleaning.
I'm very weird about it so you probably can't really help me.
So what about you go to the store in the mean time and get well everything. I'll make you a quick list"

„It always impresses me how misses chaos herself can be this organised."

„Ey! I'm always organised"

she gave him a scolding look.
He held up his hands in defeat and laughed.

„Alright missus. I'm following your orders. But don't get used to that"

he grinned.
She huffed and roled her eyes.

„I will follow your orders in your dream"

she laughed.

„You little"

he liftet her on the kitchen counter and towerd over her.

„Uhhhhh what are you gonna do about it Lt?"

He frowned.

„Ugh don't call me that. I think we're way past that"

She leaned closer.

„Are we?"

„Oh we are"

With that he gripped the back of her neck and kissed her.
His other hand gripped her thigh firmly.

She leaned into the kiss.
She felt so warm.
So soft.
He craved her.
Her touch, her love her affection.

His hand wandered up to her hip and pulled her closer.
The tension between them getting hotter.
His grip got even tighter.
He wanted her so bad.

His kisses got more demanding and possessive.
But she slightly pulled back.
Catching her breath.
He still towered over her.
Hungry for more.

„Simon please. I can't"

This snapped him out of his lust.
Of course not.
They still hadn't slept with each other.

She couldn't.
She was not ready.
The memories of that night haunted her.
And he completely understood.
He didn't wanted to either.

He was scared to hurt her.
To do something wrong.
He would let her decide.
Even when he sometimes just wanted to give in.
He would wait for her.
Because he loved her.
More than anything.

„It's ok. I'm sorry. I love you."

he whispered and kissed her forehead.

„I love you too"

„So missus. The list"

he grinned.

She ran through the flat and made a list.
It was not a small list.
It was a lot.
This would take some time to get all of that.

„Alright. I'm gonna pick up dinner on the way back. Don't overestimate yourself princess"

he said leaving the flat.
