"We can skip these if you want", Jack said sensing Dean's distress, "No, no I am fine", Dean said as Cas pulled him closer to his chest.

The episode started and all held their breath not knowing what was coming...

"Everybody's gonna die, Cass, everybody. I can't stop it. She's gonna get through that door", Dean said as they were in the room.

"I know", Cas said looking at a devastated Dean, "And she's gonna kill you, and then she's gonna kill me", Dean said broken.

"I'm sorry", Cas said thinking how beautiful Dean looked, Still Beautiful, Still Dean Winchester, he thought and paused.

"Wait, there is... There's one thing she's afraid of. There's... There's one thing strong enough to stop her. When Jack was dying, I... I made a deal to save him", Cas said and Dean looked at him shocked.

"You what?", he asked his voice breaking, for some reason he was scared more than ever, "The... The price was my life", Cas said approaching Dean whose eyes were tearing up.

"When I experienced a moment of true happiness, the Empty would be summoned and it would take me forever", Cas said memorizing Dean's face.

"Why are you telling me this now?", Dean asked his eyes tearing up along with Cas's, "I always wondered, ever since I took that burden, that curse, I wondered what it could be, what... what my true happiness could even look like", Cas said not moving his eyes away from Dean.

"I never found an answer. Because the one thing I want......it's something I know I can't have", he said, Dean may love him back but they can't be together.

"But I think I know... I think I know now. Happiness isn't in the having. It's in just being. It's in just saying it", Cas said.

"What are you talking about, man?", Dean asked trying to process everything, "I know. I know how you see yourself, Dean.", Cas said and Dean listened closely.

"You see yourself the same way our enemies see you. You're destructive and you're angry and you're broken. You're... You're "Daddy's Blunt Instrument."", Cas said so softly, all the walls breaking down.

"And you think hate and anger, that's... that's what drives you. That's who you are. It's not. And everyone who knows you sees it", he said crying.

All were crying here too except Jack and Cas, Dean was crying again, "He is right", Charlie said softly and Dean smiled through his tears.

"Everything you have ever done, the good and the bad, you have done for love. You raised your little brother for love. You fought for this whole world for love. That is who you are", Cas said smiling softly.

"You're the most caring man on Earth. You are the most selfless, loving human being I will ever know", he said and for the first time Dean listened, he listened to Cas's every word.

"You know, ever since we met and ever since I pulled you out of Hell, knowing you have changed me", Cas said letting out a tear with a chuckle.

"Because you cared, I cared. I cared about you. I cared about Sam. I cared about Jack. I cared about the whole world because of you", Cas said and Dean's eyes welled more.

"You changed me, Dean", he said smiling softly, "Why does this sound like a goodbye?", Dean asked mustering strength to his voice.

"Because it is. I love you", Cas said and Dean's world crumbled, he wanted to say it back, but they never communicated, they understood each other without communication and he didn't want that to break now.

"Don't do this, Cass. Cass", he begged, but Cas touched Dean on his left arm which he had touched the first time.

"Goodbye, Dean", he said, pushing Dean away and the empty took him away...

"Noooo", Charlie and Kevin screamed and Sam looked at his brother with tears in his eyes, the Winchester parents were also crying, they had never seen such love.

They saw Dean ignore Sam's call and sit in the corner crying and Charlie gasped, "The handprint, it's in the same place", she said wiping her tears.

Cas pulled Dean's face up and wiped his tears, "I'm here I came back", he muttered softly kissing Dean's head.

"You shouldn't have done that in the first place", Dean said, "If it comes to you, Jack, and Sam, especially you, I would do that again in a minute", Cas said and Dean shook his head.

"Never", he muttered resting his forehead on Cas's and they gave them a minute, "You should have told him you loved him", John said surprising everyone and breaking the couple away.

"I did, he read my mind, I pushed my mind so hard and made him read my mind to let him know I love him, I prayed to him", Dean said.

"That's why you smiled in the end", Kevin said and Cas nodded, "I am a seraph, I can read minds if I want, but I usually don't", he said and they watched the next episode after sobering up.

They were confused seeing Dean acting so normal, even on the screen Sam and Jack were confused, but a scene showed where Dean was alone in his room.

He was crying and praying and that broke everyone's heart, "I'm trying Cas, I'm trying to be the man you loved", he prayed.

"Dean", Jody said softly and pulled him in a hug letting him cry, he needed a mother figure now and she was there.

They stayed like that for a minute before Dean climbed back into Cas's lap cuddling up into him and they continued.

They saw Jack's scene and all realized now what and who God really is, "I'm proud of you", Cas mouthed to Jack who blushed and looked at his father thankfully.

They came to the end where the brothers were alone in the bunker drinking beer, "To Jack", Sam said.

"To Cas", Dean said his voice shaking, "What happened there actually?", Sam asked, Dean paused for a minute before telling the whole story.

"Wow", Sam said, he didn't know what to say, "Did you", he paused not knowing how to continue.

"Love him?", Dean asked and Sam nodded, "Yeah, yeah I did", Dean said and Sam wanted to cheer his brother up so he started telling Dean funny stories about Cas and Dean joined in smiling.

"Thank you", Cas mouthed to Sam who nodded and blinked assuringly...

Suddenly Dean's eyes welled up, "I love him, Sam, I love him and it hurts more than anything", he muttered looking up at the ceiling and sending a little prayer.

"It's ok, you know I heard your prayer right", Cas said and Dean nodded softly, "And I'm not leaving you again, I love you", Cas said and Dean smiled and laid his head on Cas's chest comfortably relaxing since the previous episode started.

"One last episode to go", Jack said snapping his finger for the final run, Carry on...
