Sam looked away, his eyes starting to burn again, "What? You scared that you will scare the Angel away?", Dean asked stepping back.

"Nothing is stopping him here, he can go away for all he want, be with his... whoever he wants to be with", Dean said his voice raising slightly.

Sam blinked at Dean, a little shocked, "When has he ever left you Dean?", he whispered, defeated, "What?", Dean asked caught off guard.

"When has he ever left you?", Sam asked louder and clearer, "He had an army of Angel ready to follow him to the end of the World and he left all that for you, when Hannah asked him to kill you, he looked at you and dropped the blade, saying he couldn't", Sam went on, he isn't holding back anymore.

Dean didn't speak. He just stared, Sam's words echoing in his chest, and somewhere deep inside, he knew he could never be the same again.

"He did all of it for you, Dean, not for you and me, for you, and what did you do? Each and every time he would come when you call, never missing once, yet you treated him like a punching bag, a lapdog", Sam continued, his throat catching.

He blinked his tears away, "Do you know why Cain said you will kill Cas after Crowley, because he knew Cas was your Coelette—your constant, your anchor", he said and saw that Dean's eyes looking at him with knowing.

"Chuck, after killing Billie last year, asked Cas to go with him to heaven, to be his number 1 soldier and Cas didn't leave, you know why? It's because of you, he wanted to be with you", Sam said, a tear slipping out of his eye.

"You really want to know who he was in the dream with?", Sam asked his eyes blazing up, but Dean couldn't answer, but looked at Sam.

"It was you, you asshole, he was with you, in the kitchen, dancing, laughing, married... in love", Sam said leaning back on the wall letting his head hit back.

He told the whole story, "So you know what Dean? I have always been proud to be your brother, but right now, I am so ashamed to be your brother, Dean Winchester", Sam said.

"Sam", a warning voice said and Dean finally looked away from Sam and looked at Cas who had opened his door.

"Cas", Sam started, "Yeah I know, it's ok, I'll take it from here", Cas said and Sam nodded and left, but Dean remained rooted.

Too many feelings were running through him and one was new, the way Cas looked, it made Dean's mouth dry.

The rolled-up sleeves accentuated his muscles. He stood straighter, the open shirt revealing a perfectly toned chest that Dean wanted to trace with his fingers.

And the ring hanging from the chain, chain Dean recognized very well, but the ring, it was black with blue line pulsing through it, he understood who's ring it was and his eyes darted to Cas's finger.

There was a silver band, simple, yet majestic for an Angel of the Lord, "Are you going to come in, or stare at me the whole time?", Cas asked snapping him out of his thoughts.

Dean's throat went dry. His heart hammered. Every rational thought fled as Cas's gaze pinned him, teasing, unflinching and impossible to ignore.

He stammered something and walked past Cas into his room and turned to face the Angel as he closed the door.

"Uhmm... Cas", Dean started looking everywhere but at Cas, he has to talk first and for that, he shouldn't look away.

Cas waited letting Dean talk, he knows how hard it is for Dean to talk his feelings out, "I'm sorry", was the next thing Dean said surprising Cas.

"Why Dean?", he asked softly putting his hands into the trouser pockets and Dean's eyes flickered at him for a second, darkening before looking away again.

Dean didn't know how to answer, "Would you have treated me better if I had taken a female vessel?", Cas whispered and Dean barely heard it, but he did and his head snapped to look at Cas.

"No, no, don't think like that Cas, this is you and this Angel like this is my Angel, no no, I am sorry for—", he said stopping to take a deep breath.

"For treating you the way I have treated you, you deserved better, you are everything that I couldn't have even dreamed to wish for and yet I took you for granted and there is no excuse for that", Dean replied.

"Look at me Dean", Cas said taking a few steps towards Dean, who took a deep breath and looked at Cas.

"You don't have to apologize, I chose you Dean Winchester and I will always choose you", Cas said softly taking Dean's hands in his.

"That's what I am saying, man, you deserve better, even now", Dean said drowning in those baby blue eyes.

Cas chuckled stepping in closer and Dean's breath turned erratic, so close to Cas and it was taking every ounce of Dean's strength not to kiss him then and there.

"I know how you see yourself, Dean. You see yourself the same way our enemies see you. You're destructive and you're angry and you're broken. You're... You're "Daddy's Blunt Instrument. And you think hate and anger, that's... that's what drives you. That's who you are. It's not. And everyone who knows you sees it. Everything you have ever done, the good and the bad, you have done for love. You raised your little brother for love. You fought for this whole world for love. That is who you are. You're the most caring man on Earth. You are the most selfless, loving human being I will ever know. You know, ever since we met and ever since I pulled you out of Hell, knowing you has changed me. Because you cared, I cared. I cared about you. I cared about Sam. I cared about the whole world because of you. You changed me, Dean", Cas said and there were tears in both of their eyes.

"I love you", he said and Dean gasped, his hands finding the collars of Cas's shirt and pulling him closer lips not touching yet, so they breathed as one, the warmth and rhythm of each other's heartbeat filling the space between them.

"You don't have to say it, Dean", Cas said and Dean shook his head, "I... I love you too Castiel Winchester", Dean said and it was Cas's time to gasp.

"Winchester?", he asked, "Well, if I get my ring back", Dean said smiling and noticing how Cas hadn't registered those three words.

Cas chuckled and removed the ring from the chain with just a snap from his fingers and Dean froze actually—and for a moment Cas did too.

"Did you just say 'I love you'?", Cas asked, "Do you have your full power?", Dean asked at the same time and both looked into each other's eyes laughing.

"Yes", they said together and Dean extended his left hand making Cas wear the ring where it belonged.

"I love you", both said together and laughed again, "Finally!", they heard Sam from the outside and laughed harder.

"By the way, I love this makeover, I have an emotional closure to that trench coat, but wear more like this and I might stay in the bed with you all day", Dean said smirking.

"Whatever my husband wishes", Cas said his eyes shining as he stared into the green eyes, "Husband huh? I like it", Dean said a soft smile forming on his face.

"Better than the dream?", Dean asked both swaying in each other's arms, music not needed, yet looking deep into each other's eyes.

"Better than any dream", Cas confirmed and the two leaned sealing their love with the most sweetest and passionate kiss.
