"I... I don't care if the baby is born as full adult, I am not killing my child", Dean said and Cas threw his hands up.

Sam understood Cas's frustration—from every angle, Dean and Cas have just gotten into a good place, losing each other again, not even two years after Cas came back from the Empty, was not ideal.

And Sam also understood Cas's other point, Dean was the one who raised Sam through all the shit, how can Cas and he raise a kid with no experience.

"You know what? Call me when you start thinking straight", Cas said and went to fly away when the door opened and Jack and Eileen walked in.

"Look who I bumped into outside", she signed, "I plopped down without looking and knocked into Eileen", Jack said smiling and stopped seeing the others faces.

"What's going on?", Eileen asked, "Dean is acting like a douchebag", Cas said, "Ohhh, you are talking about the baby situation", Jack said cheerfully, while Eileen looked confused.

All looked at him, "Don't look at me like that, I am God, I know things", Jack said, "So you know how this baby has a heartbeat and I can feel it inside me", Dean said looking at Cas with pain in his eyes.

Eileen who was going to ask her husband understood and remained quiet, "I know that baby is alive, Dean—but at what cost are we bringing it into this world?", Cas asked, suddenly too tired for an Angel of the Lord.

"You wouldn't be talking like this if it was the other way around", Dean said softly, "I wouldn't have to lose my life if it was the other way around", Cas replied with the same softness in his voice.

"Die?", Jack asked interrupting their eye lock, "Who said anything about dying?", he asked and all looked at him perplexed.

"The baby is a Nephilim, Jack", Cas said, "Your mother died giving birth to you", Eileen added, "First of all, ouch", Jack said to Eileen, who signed sorry back to him.

"And second, the baby is not Nephilim", Jack said and Dean kept a hand protectively over his stomach.

"The baby is human?", Cas asked relief washing him, "Oh no, the baby is an Angel", Jack said and there was a deafening silence in the room.

Dean's hand froze over his stomach, Cas's eyes widened and he sat down in the chair unable to process all this.

"Now what?", Sam asked too shocked, "The baby is an Angel", Eileen said from next to him, "Yeah, I got that part, honey", Sam said.

"But how?", he continued too curious, "Dean is God's righteous man and Cas is an Angel of the Lord", Jack explained not realizing what was going through the husband's head.

"Cas knows that Dean's soul is different, he has seen that, it is different for a reason and now the baby is an Angel", Jack said.

"Jack, stop stop, this is too much", Cas said and Dean came out of his shock and walked to his husband and sat in front of him.

"Jack, when you say 'Angel,' you mean with a capital 'A'—halo, wings, harp?", Dean asked taking Cas's hands into his.

"We don't have harps", Cas said and everyone smiled for a moment, "Yes", Jack answered, "Well I am going to buy he or she a harp-"

"She", Jack said again not reading the room and there was silence once again, "We are having a baby girl?", Cas asked his voice thick with emotions.

"We are having a baby girl", Dean said his eyes tearing up and he was engulfed in his brother's arms, "I'm having a niece", Sam muttered happily.

"But that means she will have more power", Cas said pulling away from Eileen's hug, to Jack who nodded, "What about her birth then?", he asked.

"I am gonna buy her a harp, and fake wings—""She will have real wings jerk""Language bitch, but I meant before she gets them", the brothers bantered taking no heed of Cas's worries.

"Not if we take her out as soon as third month finishes", Jack said, "What now?", Dean asked looking away from his brother.

"In that case, Dean will live and she will be a baby not a full grown adult", Cas said realization dawning on him.

Jack nodded, "Why couldn't you have born like that?", Sam asked, "I was part human, I needed that more than 3 months, she is an Angel, she doesn't need that", Jack explained.

"And if you had born as a baby with Cas's eyes, Dean would have stopped hunting forever", Eileen pointed and Dean narrowed his eyes at her and she stuck her tongue out.

"Well, it's settled then in 2 months I will be here to help with the birth, Dean no more cheeseburgers", Jack said interrupting and Dean pouted.

Dean has been sober for more than a year, since Cas came back he never drank, "Not fair", Dean said, "Eat whatever food Sam eats", Jack said smiling and vanished.

"I'm not eating rabbit food", Dean said and felt a slight kick agreeing with him, "Woah that was weird", he said.

"What?", Cas and Sam asked protectively, "I felt her kick", Dean said, "She's fully formed already", Cas said softly, smiling

Dean saw this and took both his brother's and husband's hands and kept it on his stomach, "Come on baby girl, give your papa and uncle a kick for being asses", Dean said and they felt the kick.

"Oh wow, that is weird, but in a good way", Sam said and Dean saw Eileen being hesitant and called her too to feel.

Exactly two months later, the bunker filled with the cries of a newborn—and a surge of grace only Cas could counteract.

Eileen bought the baby outside to a pacing Sam and Cas who stopped seeing the baby, she was gorgeous.

Her dirty-blond hair was soft against Cas's arm and when she opened her eyes, Sam gasped. They shimmered like the aurora—green and blue braided together.

"She is one beautiful baby", Sam said and Cas nodded through his happy tears, Jack also came out, "I healed Dean, come on in", he called and they all went inside.

Cas handed the baby to Sam and went to check on his husband, "How are you feeling honey?", he asked.

"I'm perfect", Dean said leaning into Cas's arms, "She is beautiful Dean", Eileen said rocking the baby in her arms now.

"She is", Dean said, "What are you naming her?", Sam asked, not taking his eyes from his niece, "Aurora", Dean said looking at Cas who nodded grinning.

"I knew it, I knew you would name her after those beautiful eyes, you are so dumb", Sam said and Aurora started sniffling.

"Oops, I'm sorry baby girl", Sam said taking her into his arms, "That's a beautiful name it's just your father is dumb and lazy", Sam said and let out a noise like a giggle and calmed.

"It looks like she has picked her favorite", Jack said smiling, Dean looked at Eileen, "Are you gonna tell him?", he asked and she glared at him.

"Tell me what?", Sam asked and Dean gestured him to give the baby, Eileen took Sam's hands in hers and looked into his eyes.

"I'm pregnant", she said and Sam's eyes widened, "Are you serious?", he asked looking at the others, "I wasn't sure, but Jack confirmed it today", Eileen said and Sam kissed her with happy tears in her eyes.

"Ookay, stop that, my daughter doesn't need to see that", Dean said handing Aurora to Jack who smiled and by the side of the bed holding her.

"She's my sister", he said suddenly, "Yes, yes she is", Dean said and looked at Cas who was watching all this quietly, too quietly.

"What are you thinking baby?", he asked and Cas looked into Dean's eyes, "Just", he shrugged and cleared his throat.

"How lucky I am", he said looking at all of them and back into Dean's eyes, "Not as lucky as I am", Dean replied.

"I love you", Cas said and kissed Dean, "I love you too my Angel", Dean said with their foreheads touching and their eyes closed.

The bunker felt warmer than it ever had before. For the first time in their lives, none of them were running from or towards anything, they were home.
