Jungkook had a constant feeling of threat lingering above his head when he thought about Jin with his wife. He was the CEO of a big empire; a mafia king that owned the underground and he knew well to protect everything he loved. Taehyung was going to be undoubtedly his, and Jungkook was ready to do anything to ensure it stayed that way.

" The documents are ready boss," Namjoon's voice boomed in the empty room as Jungkook kept staring outside his window as he'd always do. He couldn't help but smirk, relishing the power and control he held over things. It made him have a feeling of satisfaction that he still was above Jin and that his wife would always choose him because he was better.

As Jungkook leaned back his chair, a self-satisfied grin curved on his lips as he read the documents on the blue glowing screen. The screen buzzed on a side and a small window opened, connecting him to a video call with one of his old clients who was very much ready to own the building.

Jungkook, for the first time, talked through this matter himself to make sure everything went well and Namjoon handled the rest.

And the rest was done. Jin, as promised by his client, was kicked out and he had nowhere else to go now.

But his satisfaction was short-lived. As he sat behind his desk working, the screen on his desk flickered to life, and a man, his eyes wide with panic, appeared. He stuttered, "Boss, there's something important we need to address."

Jungkook leaned forward, his cold, penetrating gaze focused on the man. "What's the matter?"

The man cleared his throat, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. " Kim SeokJin, he's residing in your wife's house,"

A possessive rage surged within his body, the calm facade he had been maintaining disappearing at the man's words.

Before he could interrogate him further, Namjoon, entered the room and one could sense the urgency in the way he walked and looked. "Boss, your wife has sent a message. He wants to see you immediately," He said, " I believe it is about Jin's house," He added further.

Jungkook's jaw clenched, he pushed his raven hair back to calm himself down. He definitely could not go like that in front of his wife.

" I need to see my wife right now,"

He did. He had to see Taehyung. He had to make sure Jin didn't make any moves behind his back. He thought he had it all under control. But Jin had managed to break through all of that and get closer to Taehyung.

Throught the ride to Taehyung's house, his mind kept going back and forth to Taehyung's ex and Jin. No data about his ex, him being from the underground and Jin being able to manage to get closer to Taehyung that easily without getting scared of the mafia boss seemed no co-incidence to him.

And in all this, he will go down to any paths to make Taehyung only his. And also make sure Taehyung doesn't know anything about it.

Taehyung sat in the living room, his anxiety growing as he felt the tension in the air. While Jin and Jungkook were in the kitchen, he couldn't help but bite his lip and nervously tap his foot on the floor. He found himself torn between wanting to check on them and wanting to give them space.

It was as if he wanted to make sure that nothing happened between them and at the same time he felt like something should happen between them. And his own thoughts were very confusing to him.

He himself was unsure about what was happening in the house.

The unexpected turn of events began when Jin had announced that he would be cooking dinner for Taehyung. His eyes had lit up with happiness in anticipation of a homemade meal.

Taehyung's happiness at his words made Jin throw a sly smile at Jungkook who saw this as a challenge. The mafia boss didn't seem to take to the idea of Jin managing to make Taehyung happy and excited.

Without a word, he rose from his seat and declared that he, too, would be cooking. Taehyung was left wide-eyed in surprise. He doesn't remember to ever write about the mafia boss being a good cook. So now, the idea of someone who exuded power and control, stepping into the kitchen was unexpected.

" I don't believe you," Jin said as he cut down the vegetables for his dish.

Jungkook seemed to ignore him, only wanting to make something better than Jin. He was busy asking Yoongi about what Taehyung might like when Jin spoke again.

" Taehyung is not yours. And he will never be. Stop coming into his life and messing it up. Your world will leave him to no good," Jin's words had now escalated the tension between them.

Jungkook chuckled, as he wore the apron around his waist. " I thought you would be smart enough to remember when I told you Taehyung is mine. But there's one thing you are right about, this is my world. It's under my control and what I want happens here. So you don't have to worry about my wife,"

" He is not your wife!" Jin seemed irritated. And what he hated more was the fact that Taehyung was okay with Jungkook calling him that.

" I never remember asking you about it," Jungkook said calmly as he carried his work in elegance and sophistication.

Jin could only clench his jaw and continue working. He knew he was going to win this. He knew Taehyung was going to like his food better.

As dishes were finally served, both Jin and Jungkook stared at him waiting for him to say something and Taehyung could feel the tension the air and the pressure on praising one and hurting the other.

He took a bite of Jin's food first, his eyes widening in delight. " This is the best food I have ever had!" He exclaimed and took another bite and then another.

Jin smiled, his heart swelling at his high praise. Jungkook's face darkened, his demeanor changing in an instance. He looked at his wife first and then at Jin. And he didn't like the sight in front of him at all. It felt as if they both were something and he was just here as a third wheel. And that didn't seem to sit well with him.

He completely shifted his focus on Taehyung, his voice dropping to a low tone. " I hope you saved some room for dessert. I have a sweet surprise for you,"

His words made Taehyung blush furiously, his intent eyes making his heart beat faster yet again.

" Stop taking his words as a double meaning! See! He is the innocent one!" The system's voice startled him, making both of them look at him.

" Are you alright?" Jin asked and Taehyung nodded as he laughed awkwardly.

' Will you stop popping out of nowhere!? And stop saying he is the innocent one! Did you not see how he said that!? As if he meant something else!'

" Rea-sons," She said and Taehyung could literally hear the sass in her tone making him internally roll his eyes.

He ignored her just to find out the room was awkwardly silent with tension around them.

Little did Taehyung know that everything had now changed a lot. He was the source to their rivalry and his heart a source to their desires and affection.
