CHAPTER SIX ; EYES CLOSED
———

FOR WHATEVER REASON, Selene found herself sitting in a booth at a local bar. The sound of the music mixed with the chatter gave her an uneasy feeling all around, she hasn't been used to this kind of scenery. The sound of girls laughing a little to hard at a non-funny guy's joke just for him to pay for her drinks, the sound of guy's aggressively playing pool while getting upset when a woman is beating them, and the smell of all the alcoholic drinks just made her head feel dizzy.

She was alone for the moment, with her head in her hands trying to silence it all out and pretend that she is back at Bobby's place sitting on the couch watching a movie. She wasn't even sure why she was here, Sam and Dean—mostly Dean, wanted to come out for a few drinks. Which was code for pick up some ladies.

Selene felt the familiar presence of Sam slide into the booth across from her, making her look up at him with a painful expression that only made him chuckle. He placed two shots down on the table, and slide one over to Selene.

"To take the edge off," Sam smiles at her, trying to help her not struggle as much. Selene appreciated it. She was even thankful for the shot, wanting nothing more than to just forget about all her failures seeing as this is her last night with the boys.

Dean is very adamant that tomorrow she's getting on the bus and leaving town. Dean wanted to come here to 'celebrate' their final night together, which Selene offended. Sam only agreed to come in hopes it could cheer her up, and not wanting to leave her alone with Dean because he knew she'd rip his head off.

Selene is about to grab the shot, when suddenly another person appears beside her and snatches it from her hands. When she looked to up tell them off, she realized it was Dean who know brought her shot glass up to his lips and let it slip down his throat without breaking eye contact with her.

"Sorry, princess. No drinking for you, not while you're on medication." Dean told her, evilly smirking at her as he brought the now empty class back onto the table without making any sort of expression.

"Then why am I here? To watch you flirt with women all night?" Selene asked with an annoyed tone, completely forgetting that because of her medication for her injuries she shouldn't mix that with alcohol. But, clearly Dean remembered that and brought her here to just watch everyone else have fun but her. "You really enjoy me miserable, don't you?"

Dean pats her shoulder aggressively, "Damn right, it's my favourite. Now, watch the master work." With that, Dean left. Heading up to the bar with a group of women stood trying to get the bartender's attention. It took little time for Dean to wiggle his way in the middle and start talking to some woman who had short blonde hair and a nice ass.

Selene rolled her eyes, turning to look at Sam begging him with her eyes to get her out of here. Instead, Sam only laughed and put his shot on the tray of a waitress who walked by without saying a word, "If you can't drink, I won't."

Selene gave him a tiny smile, but still felt awful inside. Now she felt even worse that Sam had to sit here with her miserable self, as she sat in the fact she couldn't last even a month on the mission that yellow eyes gave her. She wouldn't be able to bring her brother back, and all this—all the pain Dean Winchester put her through and the bonding she felt she had with Sam was all for nothing.

"Really, it's fine, Sam. Get out, go get yourself a pretty girl." Selene told him, leaning on her hand as she played with the glass that Dean left, "I'll be fine."
