CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE: TO ALL A GOODNIGHT
season 3 episode 8
———

THE TWO WALKED OUT OF THE HOUSE, Selene and Sam were just leaving the house of the latest victim. A husband who had disappeared in the night, no force entry or anything close to it. They had inspected the house and didn't find much, which could be a good sign or bad sign.

At the bottom of the steps, they met up with Dean who was just finishing talking with the victims wife. Dean saw them, and wrapped up the rest of his conversation to follow them towards the Impala that was parked on the side of the road.

"Find anything?" Dean asked the pair.

"Stockings, mistletoe...oh, and this." Sam told him, handing the mystery object to Dean who mindlessly took it.

He looked closer at the sudden small object in his hand, realizing quickly what it was. He gaged at the lose tooth in his hand, Selene and Sam giggling slightly as she told Dean, "We found it in the chimney"

Dean narrowed his brows together in confusion, almost as if he thought he had heard her wrong. Looking between them and the tooth, Dean replied, "No way a man fits up a chimney, it's too narrow."

Sam raised his brow, also glancing at the tooth in Dean's hand as he says, "No way he fits up in one piece."

That grossed out Dean slightly, as he pinched the tooth between two fingers and held it away from him. Knowing there was probably more pieces of this guy somewhere, just waiting for them to find it.

Just as they reach the car, Selene states, "So, we just gotta find what dragged dear dad up the chimney."

Hours passed as the couple returned to the motel, this time carrying bags of food. As they entered, they noticed Sam was hunched over searching through endless lore sites on his computer as Reese sat beside him. She was going through some books, she didn't like the research part, but after what happened she's taken a little break from hunting to spend time with Alison.

Alison, as usual, was asleep on the bed. She seems to sleep more often now, it's not like she had much else to do anyway. Usually her and Sam were their research nerds, they were so good at it especially when they put their heads together. But recently, Alison preferred staying in bed and sleeping rather than doing boring research.

None of them knew how to offer help, plus they didn't see the harm in letting the teenage girl sleep. So, they let her do her own thing. Just like how they didn't question it when they would wake up at three a.m to find her on a computer, clearly doing some sort of research on her own. They never asked too many questions.

Placing the bags of food on the table, Dean says, "Turns out Walsh is the second guy in town grabbed out of his house this month."

Sam looked up at the sound of them entering, leaning back against the couch as he leaned his arm against the back of the couch behind Reese. Who barely reacted to the action, just accepted it as something casual.

"Did the other guy get dragged up the chimney too?" Sam asked.

Selene, who was making her way around them and towards the bed with the sleeping girl, answered with, "No clue, but they did hear a thump on the roof."
