CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE ; DANGER IN HIS EYES
season 2 episode 14
———

STANDING ON EITHER SIDE OF THE IMPALA, was Selene and Dean while both of them were on the phone. With the phone pressed to her hear, Selene finishes up her conversations by saying, "Let me know if you hear from him...yeah, you too...thanks Jo. I'll call you later." With that, Selene hung up the phone and shoved it back into her pocket. Running a tired hand over her face, Selene rubbed her temple—feeling completely at a loss.

That's when Selene turned to look over her shoulder at Dean on the other side of the Impala, just as Dean hung up his phone he locked eyes with Selene. Dean shook his head, "Ellen hasn't heard anything."

Selene sighs as she replies, "Neither has Jo."

Both of them shared the same defeated look, running low on options now that they tried calling everyone they had in their contacts and more. The thing was, that Sam disappeared.

They've been trying to look for him, but have found nothing. It's been three day, the day after Sam found out about Selene being a witch he was just gone. For the past seventy-two hours, they've been searching and tracking and praying to find him. But were coming up empty more and more.

Selene held herself responsible, thinking that maybe Sam thought her being a witch was to much and decided to just leave in the middle of the night. No note. No voicemail. He won't pick up his phone and even Selene's magic wasn't doing them justice. Each time she tried to track him, all she saw was a black void—a thick black smoke fogging her vision and filled her lungs.

Although, every time Selene is there—she can almost hear Sam's voice somewhere in the black fog. She can feel him there, which only means one thing. That wherever he is, he's alive. That's enough for Selene, because if he's alive and breathing somewhere on this earth she will find him. No matter what.

"It's like looking for my dad all over again," Dean states as Selene walks around the Impala towards Dean—just as his anger starts to build and build to the point where he spins around and smashes the roof of the Impala. Creating a small dent on the roof, hurting his hand in the process. He didn't even flinch at his aching hand.

Selene approached him, grabbing his hand from the Impala and looking at it. She knew that it was painful, especially as he clenched his jaw tight when she touched it, but he didn't say anything. Selene just lets his hand go back to his side, and gets on her tippy toes while Dean drops his forehead against hers.

It's been a long few days, neither of them have slept the whole time just driving from town to town trying to find Sam. With her eyes closed now, she thought she might even be able to sleep—but it would never be peaceful without knowing where Sam was. Without knowing he was safe.

"We'll find him, we have to." Selene whispers to Dean, trying her best to sound as reassuring as possible. She was trying to keep his spirits up, considering that last time Sam went missing—both Selene and Dean were kidnapped and nearly killed. So, this has been a triggering few days for them both.

Suddenly, the sound of Dean's phone ringing in his pocket shock them both out of their trance. Selene steps back and gives him room to quickly reach for it, and reveal the contact name—Sam. Selene and Dean share a look and she quickly hits the answer button for him as Dean brings it to his ear.

"Sammy? Where the hell are you? Are you okay?" Dean started with his usual overload of questions, "Hey...hey, calm down...where are you?...alright don't move, we're on our way."
