CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE: FORMER STALKER
season 3 episode 3
———"SAM! SAM!" Selene's voice was faint, a distance echo in Sam's mind. But it was enough to cause him to wake up, to make the world slowly start to come back to him. The light hurt his eyes, but he was still able to see enough, just like he was able to see a few feet in front of him Selene was sitting in a chair—ducted taped to it.
When he looks down at himself, he sees that he is also ducted taped, unable to properly move. Selene laughed sarcastically a little before saying, "Bad luck sucks ass." Sam gave her the best apologetic look her good, knowing that somehow this was his bad lucks doing.
"We didn't even have to touch either of you, you just went all spastic and knocked yourselves out." The man says, all while the other man just lurks in the corner. His eyes remaining on Selene and Sam, as if watching and waiting for them to try something just so he can have the excuse to kill them.
"Listen, I don't know what you want—" Selene started, but was cut off by the man snapping his fingers in her face. Taking her by surprise a little bit, as she was more offended he had snapped at her than tied her up.
"I used to think your friend Gordon sent me," The man states, making Selene roll her eyes as she thinks back to all the terrible—but probably true—things Gordon had said about her and Sam. "Because he asked me to track you both down and put bullets in your brains."
Sam laughs a little, "Yeah, that sounds like him."
The man didn't seem to care much for Sam's comment, turning back to stand in the middle of them so that way he was the centre of both of their attention. That's when he continued, "But it turns out, I've been sent on a mission from God."
With that, the man had turned around and struck Sam across the face. Selene flinched at it, trying to break free from her restraints as the man lurking stepped up to Sam as well. Selene shouted at them through angry clenched teeth, "Don't touch him!"
But it was no use, the two men just started beating on Sam while all Selene could do was watch and protest. Begging them to stop as Sam's face got bruised and bloody, his nose running of blood as exhaustion filled his face. Selene knew his ribs probably didn't look any better, and she could feel and see the pain written across his face.
"You assholes! I'll fucking burn you alive!" Selene shouted at them, and this finally caught the man's attention. Making him stand up straight and turn towards her, seeing the anger building in her eyes. Seeing the rage boiling beneath the surface.
The man stepped towards her, reaching behind her as he grabbed a fist full of her hair and forced her head back. Her neck ached painfully, her scar on her neck—that never went away, on perfect display.
"I'm not for hitting women but you—you're a monster." The man said in disgust as he landed a hard punch to her jaw. Then another one. Then one to her abdomen as it forced air from her lungs.
When he's had enough, he makes Selene met his eyes once again. As she looked up at him, she spits out her blood that had pooled in her mouth as watches as it splatters all over his face, he groans in annoyance as he steps away from her. Wiping it away from his skin.
Through clenched teeth he says, "You were apart of the demon plan to open the gate."
Sam speaks up saying, "We did everything we could to stop it."
