You were going to go to an out-of-state college. Your boyfriend, Jean, was going to the state college. This wouldn't work out well. You were remembering the times you two had when you were teenagers and not legal adults.

Your phone started vibrating. You were lying in bed fully-dressed, except for your shoes.

You pressed "accept" and answered by saying, "Hello?"

You chuckled. "Sure, why not?" On the inside, you were nervous. You didn't know how you would tell him.

"Great! I'll be in front of the house in five." You could tell he was smiling.

You put on your shoes and saw Jean's car pull up. You opened the door and ran to Jean's car. You ran over to the driver side and gave him a peck on the lips before you went over to the passenger side and got in.

You saw your sister smile and close the door while tapping on her phone. You felt your phone vibrate. "Sorry. ." You said and took out your phone.

(Sister's name): Have you told him yet?
You: No. Bye.

You had been laughing with Jean and having a good time. But you couldn't hurt him anymore. "Jean. . Can you please. . Park the car?"

Jean nodded and pulled over before parking it on the grass next to the road. You both got out of the car.

You looked at him with tears in your eyes. "Jean. . I'm going to a college out-of-state. You're staying here. ." You took a deep breath.
