"Okay! Okay! I-I have a fair excuse for breaking my promise yesterday!"

He whined as you close your eyes and took another sip of tea, back to your break and now suddenly he's barging in with a million of apologies and excuses piled onto you. A sort of evidence to decide his fate, not like you could control much anyway.

    Clink

The teacup is placed down as your eyes flutter open and look at him with disdain, a sign of disappointment on his broken promise.

You weren't mad... you were just admittedly— concerned. As you handle injuries and diseases seriously, for him to skip a day and possibly worsen or even reopen a few sounds was like a death sentence awaiting for them by none other than you.

"Just get to the point."

You sighed as your eyes narrowed and your legs crossed, a pose of authority and intimidation to get him to speak.

"So... do you know the Sword Champion of the Xianzhou?"

    Sword Champion
Only those who were bestowed by such a title were lauded as the currently best in line swordmaster of all in the Xianzhou. The current one was considered of old Xianzhou age, and goes by the name Jingliu.

You'd never seen her in person but by eye-witness and the arts which depicted of her— A wordless sword, movements faster than any other blowing breeze, white and pale figure which complemented her dark blue and black clothes, red eyes which could freeze opponents with just a single glance.

    To hear such praises...

"I do, Jingliu, I presume?"

Your expression remained unchanged but your voice was now more silver than stern. He hummed and nod as he lowered his teacup. Looking down as if debating what to say.

"I'll explain..."

"Me?"

He pointed at himself, a little stunned by the words outlined by him as he still needed some spare time to think.

"Yes, I invite you under my wing. Your wits and wisdom which is lauded great has made commendable achievements to the Cloud Knights, but your brawns may also need improvement. And with such great potential on the horizon, I shall invite you; to be my disciple."
