CHAPTER 64
Cub Creek Territory...
Lona had been one of the few humans who had not fallen to sleep. Laz had traced her history and said that her father was a descendant. Wanted to learn more of her heritage, she stayed with Laz and the others who had set up around Cub Creek.
The long hours of organization were draining while at the same time, very satisfying. While she was working, her group captured a spy and they took him to the cells. She was able to force him to give them information though he didn't know much.
As everyone was leaving, Lona stopped by another cell. A woman with a serene expression sat on cot. Her features and clothing gave away her Native American heritage. Butterflies and moths fluttered in the air and stayed near the woman.
"Are you a witch?" Lona asked.
The woman smiled. "I am." She answered with a soft gentle voice.
"Did you conjure them?"
"Oh no. They're friends who somehow always seem to know where to find me."
"Why are you in here? Did you kill someone?"
The woman chuckled, "With what? A butterfly?
"I choked on a gnat once."
She laughed and shook her head. "No, I didn't kill anyone." Her expression turned sad. "But people did die. People I cared about."
"Are you responsible for their deaths?"
"Yes." The woman's guilt and grief were plain to see.
Lona spoke again, "Let me rephrase that, did you knowingly do anything wrong to cause the tragedy?"
"No but I brought those men in."
"Why?"
"My mother told me that they had business there and that I needed to let them go to the main hall without guarded escorts. Something felt off about the request and I-"
"It wasn't your fault." Lona interrupted. "You're no more at fault that a hotel valet who parked a car in a garage which contained a bomb in the trunk."
The woman smiled sadly, "I'm Catori."
"Lona. Everyone here will treat you fairly. Just tell the truth and don't blame yourself." Lona left the cells and Lee who had been watching from the security room sent the recorded clip to his Alphas.

"Susannah!" Carrie shrieked in excitement throwing her arms around her best friend who returned the enthusiastic embrace.
"Girl! It's been forever! Look at you, a Luna to some hot twin Alphas!"
"Don't even start. You got the hot prince who has been your childhood crush since forever and are now queen. Oh, and expecting a hot prince jr.!"
The women laughed at their own silliness as they walked to parlor. Susannah turned and looked at her guards who were currently glaring at every nook and cranny as if expecting an assassin to jump from the next to nonexistent shadows. "We're going to sit and have girl time, you two will stay over there." She pointed to a bench seat just outside the balcony doors. "And you two can stand outside the door. That way there will be eyes on me at all times and we'll have our privacy. There that should make everyone happy."
The men reluctantly nodded and did as they were asked.
"I swear men are the most worrisome creatures. It took me hours of arguments and a ton of blow jobs to get Barak to agree to let me come. Then he wanted to send an entire army as an escort."
