Mona had returned with the rest of the warriors to the Indigo Sky Pack. Unfortunately, her father's Beta was waiting for her. She had never liked Walt Fisher. He was a perv. He coached at the high school and Mona knew he liked to get handsy with some of the girls. Fortunately, he liked the school skanks and they loved him. To give credit where credit was due, he never preyed upon the unwilling, he just took what was offered from the girls that were 17 and over. School officials weren't going to do anything. They were mostly women and a large number of them had also slept with him at one time or another. Technically he wasn't doing anything illegal in the state, it was just plain wrong.

"Get your stuff and let's go. The Alpha wants you home." Walt said impatiently.
Her uncle, Emile, wished her the best of luck and that if she ever wanted to come back for a visit then she was more than welcomed. Mona simply nodded and followed her father's Beta. She would miss her uncle. He was nothing like her father. Both he and his family were kind to her.
After a long silent drive and only stopping twice for gas, Mona was tired and hangry. She didn't get a chance to rest after the fight nor did she get a proper meal. Food and a bed is all she wanted right now but of course the Alpha, Mona's father, wanted to see her right away.
She knocked on the heavy mahogany door and waited for it to open. Hearing the click of the lock disengaging, Mona turned the knob and went inside. Her father was in his usual seat, reading over some papers, not bothering to look up or greet his oldest child.

Mona remembered the couple from a business luncheon a few months ago. She had to make pecan pie on the fly because the now deceased Luna requested it for dessert halfway through the meal. The couple had been just a few years older than her parents. It was a shame really.
