CHAPTER 47
Rogue Lands...
Eesha was exasperated by Dameon's usual pigheadedness. "You need to stop with whatever nonsense you have in mind with Monica." The vampire lectured sternly. "She's your personal assistant and has not even once made a pass at you. All these women throwing themselves at you and of course you want to toy with the one you can't have."
Dameon's wolf, Phinn, growled a little at the insinuation that HIS Monica was an object that would be played with then discarded. Dameon shook his head unable to comprehend why his wolf was so stuck on his secretary. It was ridiculous even. Why was he so obsessed with a girl more than a decade younger who was the complete opposite of both his mates? He wondered. Both Tiffany and Trish were jaded like himself. Monica was innocent though she was far from naïve. His mates were thin, pale, and always dolled up. So different from his personal assistant. Monica's make up was minimal and her body curvy.
Since dealing with Eesha, Dameon was forced to rethink a lot of personal aspects and losing both mates changed him. He was older, wiser, and had matured. Monica represented the stability and comfort he longed for. While it was true that she never attempted anything inappropriate he felt a strong connection and his wolf absolutely adored her.
But the vampire was right. He needed to tamp down on this obsession and put it away for good. Dameon longed for a taste of the forbidden fruit as much as his wolf but he refused to dishonor someone he held in such high respect. Perhaps it was best if he found another position for Monica. Preferably far away from him and his wolf who had already begun to growl in protest with his plan.
"Right." Dameon thought to himself. "I'm going to find another job for her somewhere else that doesn't require her to be in the office. And if she has to be here then I'll make sure I'm somewhere else. But first, I should probably apologize to her for walking in on me getting my dick sucked... on her desk.... Shit."

Romania...
Malachi and Laken stared at the Head of the Royal Guards in disbelief. "What do you mean banned?" Malachi asked.
"Her highness ordered that neither of you were to enter the royal suites. All of your belongs have been moved downstairs." The burly man replied.
"What of my Eternal One?" Malachi asked.
"The miss is to remain in the Royal suites. If there are any problems then you may take it up with the princess when she returns."
"When will she be back?" Laken asked.
"Tomorrow evening at the latest."
"I want to speak with my Beloved." Malachi demanded angrily.
"I'm sorry sir, the young lady is not to be disturbed. Good day." The head guard said dismissively.
Laken forcibly led Malachi away before he started something that would end them in much harsher accommodations. A petite woman in a black and white maid uniform stepped forward.
"If you will follow me, please. I'll take you to your rooms." She said with a slight curtsy.
With no other options, the men followed the maid. The room was tastefully done and richly furnished as all guest rooms in the Royal House but was noticeably smaller than their former accommodations.
"Could you deliver a message to Stacey Harrison-Lockner?"
"I'm sorry sir but the miss is not to be disturbed." The woman said, leaving before they could ask why.
