CHAPTER 4

Lee reached the top floor where the security room was. His number was rejected as soon as he tried to key in the clearance. He couldn't say that he was surprised. Lee had created a separate program so that if anyone was able to hack their security then there was a failsafe so that they wouldn't be completely locked out. He and the Alphas were the only ones who knew about it.

Entering the room, he heard his brother cussing. The screen was open and Toby was trying to access the pack's money accounts.

"Having trouble getting your thirty pieces of silver?" Lee asked.

Toby jumped and nervously tried to shut down the screen. "I don't know wh-"

"Cut the bullshit, Toby." Lee growled. "You betrayed your pack for what? Blood money? Our father fought and died for this pack. You dishonor his memory."

"I don't have to explain shit to you Lee." Toby quickly pulled out a gun and fired.

Outside the armory, Asya and Hezekiah worked together to do a quick inspection of the weapons as they handed them out. Both Indigo Sky and Midway packs had added to the stockpile of arsenal. Omegas were assigned to the middle of the territory. Groups of warriors were on standby. Hezekiah and Asya would join the fighting as soon as it started. A girl from the Indigo Sky Pack and several of Omegas were assigned to hand out new weapons or arrows as needed. Guns were too risky after the enemy entered the territory. Only those on the frontlines carried them. Roger and Phil told everyone that the Hunters would most likely have poisoned bullets made to take down a werewolf. They're highly trained and accurate shots.

"Do you smell that?" Asya asked sniffing the air.

Hezekiah inhaled deeply before snarling.

"What is it?"

"A sleeping potion for werewolves. Do you have any sensitivity to wolfsbane?"

"No. It's never affected me."
