Descrip...
Tracy found that it was a different experience fighting against Hunters. She could easily tell the seasoned fighters versus the inexperience of the newly trained. She was focused on simply knocking them unconscious rather than straight up killing them. Oddly enough, most did not engage fully in the fight. It seemed as though they were holding back. Her current opponent, dressed in all black with a mask covering half of his face, had driven her away from the others. He lowered his weapon as he spoke, "I do not want to fight against my brothers or the Protector. We're being forced to be here. Unfortunately, there are too many that are taking this seriously and we cannot stop them because there's no guarantee that they would join us if we explain ourselves."
Tracy wasn't sure how to respond to this revelation.
The man continued, "The Cradle of Life is compromised. There is resistance but the ones that speak out are executed. The former head was murdered and the whole council has been replaced or corrupted. We need help."
Shouts and the clank of metal on metal grew.
"Tell Ebony Black that her daughters and granddaughter are being held against their will. No one knows who they are but I fear for their lives if their origins are discovered."
Tracy's mind was scrambling to organize her thoughts and couldn't even form a question. A loud roar was heard. Startling both of them.
"I'm sorry. You need to go help your friends. Unfortunately, I think some of your enemy packs have decided to take advantage of our attack."
Tracy did not waste another second. Returning to the fight her heart dropped to her stomach when she saw both Gideon and Hezekiah lay unmoving on the ground with stakes through their chests.
"Fuck!" Tracy thought as she helped Jonathan fight off the Hunters.
