A night off

Strand and Robyn stood on the rooftop, it was awkward seeing each other once again but in the current circumstances it didn't really matter to either of them. Strand and Robyn had a past, not as enemies but as allies, it was quiet, not something that strand really talked about, he never really knew what to call that point in his life but it definitely wasn't a peaceful one.

Strand: You called me to come here?

Robyn: I need to know what's going on here, I've seen you come in and out of atlas, doing whatever is you. "Making up for your fuck-ups" you call it but i don't need my semblance to see that it's not the only thing your doing down here

Strand: I'm just doing business, odd jobs here and there... Sometimes for the military and sometimes for myself

Robyn: I've see you work with penny, i dont think the general would allow you to work closely with her if it was just odd job business...

Strand: Alright, let me be honest with you-

Robyn: Hand. I don't think can trust anymore with how you ended things when you left mantle

Strand: Okay fine...

Strand gives robyn his hand

Robyn: What are you up to here?

Strand: I work for the general...

Her aura flashes green meaning that strand was telling the truth

Robyn: Doing?

Strand: I clean up the criminals here in mantle, take care of any trouble makers or grimm that might threaten the city

Robyn's aura flashes green once again

Robyn: Why you? Your one of, if not the biggest criminal that ever walked the face of remnant, why would he let you waltz free?

Strand: His men picked me up from a jam, in exchange for my freedom he wanted me to clean up his dirty work.

Her aura flashes green and she semed a bit unsatisfied with all the answers even if it was truthfully.

Robyn: what is ironwood working on in amity colosseum

Strand: Something that will benefit remnant...

Robyn grumbles to herself when her aura glows green

Robyn: that is?

Strand: He'd kill me if i told

Strand says with a smirk, her aura glows green and she rolls her eyes, that was all she knew she could get out of him but one more question passed through her mind.

Robyn: Do you ever regret leaving mantle and all of us?

Strand: No...

Robyn's aura glows red, she looks up at him with a disappointed look on her face, she pulls her hand away from strand and looks at him up and down.

Robyn: What happened? Why did you just leave... We could've won the last election...

Strand: Look, i came to mantle looking for a change of scenery, i lost my wife... I lost my best friend, I didn't expect to get swept up in politics, i thought doing good would help me forget all about it, did i expect to get entangled in whatever freedom you were fighting for? Hell no... I did as long as i could and when i couldn't i backed at, do i reget it, yes but it's not my biggest regret, i met a kid okay... someone left behind and i gave him a second chance at life, was it a good chance no but it was A chance, i took care of him and raised him to the best of my abilities, I found down here in mantle, poor kid had been in the tundra, that's why i never looked back, that's why i wouldn't change a thing... if i could change one thing, it would've been explaining it to you and maybe raising that kid to be a good kid instead of criminal like me, you happy?
