The lost fable

A scene emerges in a blue mist revealing a beautiful room littered with luxury furniture and a big window where a beautiful blond woman looks out into the land around her, Ruby emerges in the scene and looks around confused.

Jinn: Locked away from her cruel father, Salem was a girl who desired but one thing... Freedom, She lived in a time where kings and their kingdoms were plentiful, when men and Woman could achieve greatness and magic was a gift from the gods that all could wield and yet she sat within her tower...

Ruby watches as salem sits on a chair and opens her palm, multi colored orbs float around before disappearing

Jinn: Until one day a legendary hero came to brave the challenges hidden within the towers walls, the people knew him as Ozma...

Qrow appears in a scene outside the tower within a mountain valley, he sees a man in armour with dark skin and brown hair, Qrow waved his hand in front of Ozma but he didn't notice as he walked right through Qrow.

Jinn: Unlike many that came before, this warrior was not driven by the prize of the maiden's hand, he fought only for righteousness and his pure heart and courageous soul prevailed.

Images flashed of Ozma's journey through the tower until finally the young warrior reached the top of the tower, much to the surprise of salem. The two escaped from the tower hand in hand and took the time to catch their breaths while finally seeing each other in a new light outside the tower.

Jinn: They escaped the wretched fortress and yet something bound them together, Ozma had been ready to give his life for justice countless times but he finally find a woman worth saving it for and salem had found freedom not in the outside world but in the eyes of the man who saved her from the tower and two fell deeply in love, they planned adventures all around the world and they lived happily ever after... Or at least that's what should've been... Ozma the infallible hero of legend, fell ill and where all the beasts and blades of the world had fallen short, a sickness prevailed

Weiss stood behind salem who kneeled in front of a bed where Ozma had laid in his final days, she watched as the young widow cried as she held her late husband's weapons

Salem: How could the gods let this happen...

Jinn: The gods. Brothers of light and darkness, Creation and destruction. Salem prayed that they saw the injustice and make things right.

The mist flashed and out a scene of a sunny bright valley was revealed.

Jinn: The domain of light was a sacred place, it was here where the elder brother dwelled in his fountain of life and creation, it was here where humanity would fall into ruin

Salem walked to the fountain and kneeled before the god of light, he emerged from the waters as a bright gold humanoid form with antlers from his head, he walked towards salem, standing just at the edge before her. Ruby stands behind her as she watches the two begin to conversate

Salem: Please... bring him back to me

God of light: I understand your pain but you demand of me that which i cannot make so... Life and death are part of a delicate balance

Salem: So... You won't do it then?

God of light: To disrupt th-

Salem: That's not fair... THAT'S FAIR!!

God of light: Let. him. Rest.

Yellow flower petals twirl Salem as she's teleported to the edge of the valley, she stands reflecting the elder's god words before she takes a deep breath.

Salem: No.

The scene flashed once again, this time seeing Salem in the land of darkness, She walked to the entrance of the younger gods domain and she looked at all the skeletons of fallen humans littered around.
